Buff sapphic dorks with very pretty, equally badass girlfreinds... yeah they'd get on like three peas in a pod.

Also Adora and Rumi? With their hair poofs, swords and gigantic, crippling issues of self doubt? Yeah, these two are basically the other in a different font and they'd bond SO fast.

Also, Catra would totally love hanging out with Asami and love doing deadpan snark with Mira. Glimmer would also LOVE to squeal and fangirl about things with Zoey.

JO!!!!! IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED SO UNEXPECTEDLY LMAOOOOO 👀💀 I'm so sorry in advance for the absolute novel I just wrote:

Its the way since his return Robert is ALL big declarations. He's literally been OVERFLOWING with them since he got back! He's SO full to the brim with 6 years of adoration and obsession! He's bursting at the seams! Robert is 'throw myself under a bus for one more moment with you'. 'Sacrifice myself in the most agonising way possible if it means you will live peacefully'. And it WORKS because it goes so against his typical character. So AGAINST how he typically is with everyone else and is SO AT ODDS with his past (serial liar, serial cheat, look after number 1, out for what he can get, sleep with a whole family and be a trophy husband for the STATUS of it all).

And its SO ENDLESSLY FASCINATING because its a complete flip. A WHOLE NEW side to his character (one likely even HE didnt know about) and its only for ONE MAN!!!! (A DINGLE MAN AT THAT!!!) He will STILL lie cheat steal and scam from anyone else, if he needs to. But aaron is THE exception. For everything. His own heart beating outside of his chest.

AND AARON! I've written about this time after time but this sweet, rageful lad. Absolutely intoxicated by Robert from the START (another form of self harm that doesnt involve slicing his skin. that hurts even worse in places people cant see). And their dynamic evolution is INCREDIBLE because he began angry (I mean...that's his default) but very quickly caught feelings (22 year olds are gonna 22 yknow) and then was swinging wildly from all consuming obsession and love to vengeful resentment. But it's the LATER dynamic I love the most! When theyre settled. Forgiven. Peaceful. And aaron (the Thug With A Heart Of Gold) becomes roberts strange moral check point. Is ONCE AGAIN caught between depending on robert/being his soft morally grey guide/occasional criminal accomplice. And for the first time he CAN be all of these things! He GETS to coexist with someone who accepts him and loves him (whether he's shredding himself to ribbons or giving a mildly hypocritical moral lecture).

"Not everybody sees that. But I do" and it goes BOTH FUCKING WAYS FOR THEM!!! IMAGINE SPENDING YOURE WHOLE LIFE RIPPING RAGGED CHUNKS OUT OF YOURSELF TO FIT THE MOLD OF THE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU. TO BE 'RIGHT'. TO BE LOVED!! IMAGINE SOMEONE SEEING THE MUTILATED THING YOU'VE RIPPED YOURSELF INTO AND SAYING 'BEAUTIFUL'. IMAGINE SOMEONE KISSING THE SKIN THATS BEEN CRAWLING AWAY FROM YOU SINCE BIRTH!!!

BUT I think its SOOO IMPORTANT (to me PERSONALLY) that they recapture that essence of wholeness and acceptance. AND ALSO (post john) I want aaron in full body guard protective mode. Aaron has AMPLE experience with mental health struggles and we saw first hand how every pretence of anger was dropped the MOMENT he saw roberts pain and struggling. The MOMENT he realised that the man he idolised and leaned on as a pillar of strength for SO LONG was crumbling (but god for robert. what a moment? caught in his own torment but how could it ever truly be a nightmare when it lead to aarons arms around him again?)

This time around Im DYING to see aarons protective streak back in full fucking swing. I want robert baffled and confused at the way everyone is suddenly being so kind and helpful to him (never noticing his hulking husband looming behind him making mancing glares at anyone who talks to him. Let alone anyone who dares talk to him with a condesending tone). The dark shadow that is always lurking close (to everyone else. To robert its his ray of scowling sunshine BHWHL and theyre just hanging around together!)

I want robert gazing wistfully at aaron in the woolie while aaron scowls at anyone who dares to glance at robert with anything other than kindness in their eyes. I want this forever 🚬🚬🚬
