I’m feeling very sad today. FAB is 21 years young today and I can’t see any of you. This is not the way it was meant to be! There should have been a party at the end of last year when FAB was twenty, I had an accident and wasn’t well enough, but never mind we’ll do it next year I thought when we’re 21 and look what’s happened this time. I have loved being a therapist, it is so much more than skin & nails & lashes & tans, it’s about the people, my lovely clients, sharing your ups and downs, your sorrows, joys, dreams and celebrations and sharing mine with you. I feel I have coped quite well with lockdown on the whole, there have been no big arguments in the household, I have kept myself busy decorating and brushing up my skills with online courses, I have tried to stay in touch with all of you (no thanks to Facebook) but today I am really feeling it. Today being a Monday is my usual day off but I intended being in the salon for a party, there should have been cake and bubbles and most of all you my beautiful clients who over years have become more like friends than clients to share it with. Today I am missing you more than I have at any other time throughout this lockdown, it feels like we have been robbed of yet another happy event. Anyway, without getting too maudlin, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of you and to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your 21 years of support and loyalty and for faith and trust you put in me. I am truly grateful and never forget that without you FAB would not exist. I am so looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces again as soon as I am allowed to reopen and who knows maybe we’ll get that party later in the year. 🤞Have a lovely day everyone and if you get the chance raise a glass of your favourite tipple and wish me a happy birthday.
