Stiles is the worst thing that could have happened to Derek. He hasn't been wolfing out at inopportune moments since his teens, but only because he has a system in place. And this is where Stiles comes into play. Because he's been messing with this system, and doesn't even know. Also, there's a wendigo.

OMFG. This is the best thing ever. Buffy and Skyrim references, adorableness, Scott's confusion. Motherfucking Fus Roh Da. I'm so fucking done. So fucking done. The pack gets an A+ in wendigo-watch 2012.

It's just typical that Joss Whedon would inspire the best fics.

Derek is a professional classical musician who has found himself lost without a muse, without goal and without even a hint of spark. He's almost settled nearly contently (if not slightly unwillingly) on having to live his life as a recluse, when his sister finally grows tired of his antics, giving him a Christmas ultimatum.

I'm crying right now.

Backstory: I was in Choir from 8th grade until I graduated, and now it's been two years and I really don't know how to deal without spending two hours everyday just working on perfecting songs for concert. Singing is such a huge part of my life, and even though I go to see the concerts now always, it's nowhere near the same. Singing music on the radio isn't the same, because I'm a first soprano, and there isn't really much challenge in the Top 40 for those kinds of high notes, alright. And I'm so fucking painfully shy about my voice that I never try out for any other Choirs (the only reason I had the courage to go back into Choir each year was because the director knew my voice and there was established trust there, so yeah). So just know: if you ever write/see a fic that music plays a big part in, pop the link into my ask box, and I am not even joking when I say I will love you forever. Not even a little bit.

Life story aside: This story is kind of slow, so make sure you're in the mood for that, I know you know how difficult it can be to force yourself to slow down every once in a while. The story was beautiful, the music is beautiful, the relationship is beautiful. Everything's beautiful and nothing hurts.

Aside from me missing Choir.
