holy shit the crossfit open is upon us already! i actually missed posting last weekend because i was in melbourne, but i did 22.1 on monday morning. and i just finished 22.2! okay, like, two hours ago but whatever. thoughts under the cut in case you don't care about crossfit.
22.1 was not super in my wheelhouse:

12 alt. dumbbell snatches @ 22.5/15 kg
15 box jump overs
i'm decent at all the movements, but i'm slow on box jump overs - jumping onto things is something i do lack confidence in because i have no depth perception, so i was pretty slow on those. still, i wanted 8 rounds and i got 8 rounds. hard to complain! no plans to repeat, simply because i knew i'd maybe only get a couple reps better.

holy moly sign me the FUCK up. i wasn't sure if i was going to do it tonight on account of being really shit at exercise on friday nights but greg was like, just do it, and i was like, fuck it. so i did it.
it's such a fun workout. everything felt really good. i went out a little hot and did the first 4 rounds in the very first minute (oops) but overall i was really happy with my pacing. i was one rep off finishing the second round of 8. absolutely stoked with that! that's probably going to bump me up the leaderboard enough to make up for week 1!
of course, i'm aiming to get to the QFs again this year, so i'll push hard on the last workout and repeat if necessary. can't wait. i love the open and i love crossfit
