Looking like a snack at work or on special occasions has an effect on your body. Appearing sexy has a price. _ Wearing heels interrupts natural body balance. To make up for this imbalance it will either bend the hips and spine forward or flex them. This results in the calf, hip and back muscles becoming tense. Moreover, being tense for a long time make these muscles too fatigued and strained leading to a higher risk of injury along with cramping and bulging in the calf muscles(Ew!) _ The alignment of the bones in your spine or posture of your spine is changed by wearing heels. This results in overworked muscles and pain.(Damn!) _ Lots of pressure is put on your knees and the balls/pads under and below your toes causing all other parts of your body to shift and readjust itself to balance. _ Fourthly, wearing heels everyday long term puts a lot of stress on the back as the weight shifts forward along with the shortening of the calf muscles. Creating a host of other problems. Also, a condition called "Spon-dee-low-lis-thee-sis"(Spondylolisthesis) where a bone in your spine slips forward or backward causing pain. The overall shape of your body changes leading to many muscular and joint issues. _ Conditions such as Foraminal Stenosis in the lower back causes either shooting pains, muscle weakness and/or pain radiating through the ass to the legs(OMG!).
