— Play Along

Sitting by a table settled in the clubs corner, where the blasting music wasn’t as boisterous but he could still watch people from afar and quietly anticipate their further actions, Jiyong restlessly stirred his colourless drink with the straw. His very few friends with whom he came there were either lost in the crowd crazing on the dance floor or they just forgot about him. Not like he was very bothered, though. Although it was a great tradition of his to get trashed on a Friday night so he wouldn’t have a single recollection of it the following day, that night he just felt like sipping on whatever he ordered — only when his glass was half-drained, the sweet taste made him question whether any drop of alcohol was there.
His eyes leisurely scanned over the place, hoping to eventually find himself some other company if he was already left all alone. Jiyong wasn’t even conscious of the grumpiness he showed whilst resting chin on his palm and giving the glare bordering on deadly. Yet his eyebrows were pulled together not because he was internally grumbling about the world surrounding him but for the sake of sharpening his vision, so he wouldn’t be seeing blurry silhouettes moving in the distance anymore. Then his gaze abruptly stopped on a scene happening near the bar counter. A tipsy guy seemed to be an extremely persistent one as he possibly tried to hit on the female beside. In addition, she didn’t look to be enchanted by his pathetic endeavours.
Not all heroes wear capes, Jiyong thought as if to spur himself into action instead of observing everything like a nosy neighbour. Leaving the beverage on the table, he run his slender fingers through his hair and strutted his way towards the bar. Gently wrapping his arm around the woman’s waist, his stare pierced through the delinquent and a cocksure smirk played across his lips. “Sorry for making you wait so long, babe.” Slowly turning his head to the female, he delicately pulled her closer before glancing back at the man, who probably wasn’t as eager as seconds earlier.
