Comments: This was absolutely delightful and incredibly fluffy. I couldn’t help smiling and giggling at the cuteness of it all.

#25daysofwolfmas - Day 23 Fest: Remus/Sirius Small Gifts 2015

Author: montparnasse Rating: Mature Word Count: 21,359 Era: Post-Hogwarts

Summary: Christmas, 1978. Remus, wrestling with the mighty problems of gift-giving on a budget, contemplates life, love, London in winter, and falling off the edge of the world with Sirius Black.

Comments: Lovely, gorgeous, and lyrical can’t even begin to describe how beautiful this fic is, but words fail me when it comes to montparnasse’s writing.  This one is spent inside Remus’ head as he pines and overthinks and eventually acts on his feelings. It’s soft and warm and bursting with love, and I adore it.

Summary: There's a drumming sound inside my head / That starts when you're around... In which Sirius just can't stop tapping.

Comments: Sirius’ pining manifests itself in the form of incessant tapping, which causes both irritation and curiosity. Super adorable and funny and sweet.

Summary: A retelling of the claymation classic Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys featuring a red-nosed Remus and not-really-a-Slytherin Sirius.

Comments: An interesting mashup that was both hilarious and sweet. I loved how certain characters were included in the retelling, and all of the ways James tried to instill some Christmas cheer in Sirius. A charming, fluffy, and very Christmasy fic.

Summary: Four contestants returning from previous seasons: Sirius, Remus, Harry, and, oh yes, Sybill Trelawney. Two bad-joke-filled hosts: Fleur and Tonks. Two oddly-matched judges: Minerva McGonagall and Horace Slughorn.

Three baking challenges, three glowing fruitcake runes, two not-so-secretly smitten contestants, two small explosions, one first kiss, one unexpectedly sentimental judge, and plenty of holiday cheer. Oh, and one Christmas Bake Off champion.

Comments: I am still in awe that something so magnificent exists. Wolfstar and Bake Off, together? Written by earlybloomingparentheses?? Literally everything I didn’t know I wanted. It’s so funny and cute and heart-warming. I love the format, all of the characters, and the magical bakes! This was the best Christmas present. <333
