Fighters of the Fleet back page feature from Warlord No. 279, 26 January 1980. The Fairey Fulmar expertly illustrated by Ian Kennedy. It was interesting to see and read about some of these lesser known planes. DC Thomson
Warlord No. 279, dated 42 years ago today on 26 January 1980. The Red Ball Express cover art by Jeff Bevan. DC Thomson.
The Crunch No. 54, dated 26 January 1980. Ebony cover by Mike Dorey. This was the final issue and it merged with Hotspur becoming Hotspur and Crunch the following week. I think The Crunch had a great range of strips and was one of the best comics DC Thomson produced. Hotspur eventually dropped the "and Crunch" and merged with Victor one year later in January 1981.
DC Thomson.
