Building on yesterday’s question and thoughts: How do you speak?
Think about what you would say to a friend who failed. Would you be harsh and say they deserved that failure or would you approach them with kindness, grace, and encouragement? Now compare what you say to your friends and what you say or think about yourself. Is there a difference?
We need to give ourselves kindness, grace, and encouragement. Forgive yourself from failures and move on, give yourself the grace and encouragement to move on.
While you work on nourishing your soul don’t forget to give your body good nutrition. I still struggle with meal planning, but I am going to try this plan that my mother saw on Dr. Oz**. How are you at meal planning? What is your go to recipes?
**We don’t watch Dr.Oz nor do we buy 99% of the stuff he is selling but this plan was put together from a chef we like that works on America’s Test Kitchen.
I would never talk to someone the way I regard myself. I also don’t believe I deserve kindness or grace to myself. I only go with “encouragement” but even that is just like a “aight get up and do this shit.” No real positive regard for myself or my work.
I don’t meal plan because this kitchen isn’t mine and I hate the idea anyway. I decide what I have for breakfast, pack my own lunch, and then dinner is whatever was made at home. I used to cook dinner pretty often, but that’s not a thing during internship lol
