Most people choose to ignore this because they dislike the new lore, myself included.

I know a lot who do, and a lot who do not. It’s okay if you don’t! I guess I should have clarified that, for my Rin, I do. I like keeping close to canon lore, and am actually having fun making it work for her. I figure it’d be best if Rin could hide in the city without being bothered about her short nature all the time. Also would help against those in Zaun who want to experiment on her or anything NOT HUMAN. It feels like a nice adaptive thing they’ve developed for being magically attuned, which has always been a part of their lore.

Anyways, that’s my two cents. I get why people dislike it, as I also would still agree to them just being smol folk in the land, but hey, I’m just trying to make the best of a weird situation of Riot overhauling a loooooooooooot of lore Q_Q;

Ka sat at one of the old tables in the abandoned library, swinging his legs idly and watching Veigar peruse the long discarded tomes. Seni was curled up some feet away in the fort she and Ka had built out of some of the more worthless books, fast asleep. "How come you're so interested in celestials?" the yordle boy asked. The word touched the edge of old memories in his mind and he gasped, "I had dreams about them! With magic and stuff! Maybe that could help you?"

Veigar’s eyes glazed over the tomes, wandering towards the questioning yordle before answering. “That's actually a quite complicated question. I could tell you that they have power beyond compare, and it would be partially correct. I could tell you that they see the world’s magic as purely as it can be by anyone, and that too would still be right. But truthfully its for much more than that.”

Veigar closed the dusty book softly, sending a little cloud puffing up from its pages. “The truth is I’ve studied them and the stars for longer than anyone else, and I find myself wanting more. Their secrets, power, and so much more are all things I desire. I want it all.”

1. Ka is the only yordle Veigar is aware of that has the very real possibility to surpass him in both knowledge of the arcane and power over it.

2. Veigar isn’t concerned about what happens after that however as he doesn’t think Ka will be able to outmaneuver him should it come to that.

Seni @yordletwinsask

1. Seni’s power actually concerns Veigar more than he will admit. How can he use her to his advantage if she could end up wiping some of his pieces off the proverbial chessboard in the process of doing so?

2. As such Veigar hasn’t sent her on any vital jobs for fear the result would end up being a fiery mess and lost opportunities.

Terin @terinthemasterhealer

1. Veigar as he currently is stands as an antithesis for Terin’s benevolent nature, and if he knew how she has thwarted his plans multiple times Veigar would in turn follow her efforts around with his own malevolent deeds.

2. At the moment, Veigar is largely unaware of Terin’s abilities and efforts. Knowing only of the name and reputation.

Teemo @captain-teemo-locked-and-loaded

1. Veigar despises Teemo, but as of yet has not attempted removal of the scout from this reality. Maybe its lack of skill, maybe he simply hasn’t had a good opportunity. Who knows why.

2. Teemo however uses Veigar as a hate-sync and morale/publicity booster for his actions to the other Yordles. Its easy to do whatever you need while everyone is focused on the town clown after all.

(Teemo) ⌧ reminds me of how many animals go limp when gripped by the scruff. If this were a thing that also applies to yordles Teemo would totally take advantage of it (might be a good way to avoid Veigar blowing his face off) but it's just an idea, so do what you will bruh 🤷🏼‍♀️
