"Beauty looks like encouragement, patience, acceptance, forgiveness, carefulness and compassion." - @erykahbadu Over the course of a few days, I saw the after effects and power of sharing a sacred part of yourself with an uncensored audience. It was 90 percent love, 5 percent creepy and 5 percent who threatened to unfollow my format and leaving their "necessary" feedback of who they thought I was. Isn't it strange on how we can become engulfed on the smaller group than the larger picture some days? But if there's anything that social media taught me is another quote from Queen Badu: "You cannot censor someone’s opinion. You cannot censor art. But you can be encouraged to build something from it.” Even hate is an art form. Anyone that can use that much energy to send me two page emails about being a "whore" or an "attention seeker" has to be a modern day Picasso. You are allowed to feel whatever you want to feel but I already forgave your stupid ass when you strolled in the door. I don't forget the words nor will I pretend to act like I'd be willing to give you the chance of having a do over but I'd be damned if you pimp my insanity. My strength is an art form. My love is an art form. My ability to move past your disparaging comments is an art form. My success is an art form. If my body make you enraged, I can only imagine what you feel when I mind fuck. Thank you to the 90 percent who loaded my inbox with crazy beautiful messages about my photos from the Alchemy project and I send the best of luck to the 10 percent who feel a dark way about me; at least I know where you stand.
