Abbott 5K before my fifth NYC Marathon day? Sure -- why not?! I took it down to my favorite movement: Sexy pace. Preserving my legs for 26.2 miles of pure excitement, adrenaline and another opportunity to meet people on the course. I don't do this for the medals but I'll admit that I always value my NYC marathon collection. I truly enjoy the people, the running community and the sixth year of celebrating my mobility. You don't know how much of a blessing it is to move just a little bit until you're stripped of a lot. I owe tomorrow to this spirit of mine. She's taken a mental beating some days from others and even herself. The true marathon is my everyday life and when I question basic things, why do they happen and how to overcome the everyday struggle. Lacing up is the most natural thing that I can do. Running fast isn't my desire at the moment if you haven't guessed that by now. Forward movement is always my goal. It doesn't look like most but it's deliberate. I trained all year to preserve my happy. It's a pleasure to be a spectrum on a large rainbow. #runningfatchef #fatrunner #diversitymatters #representationmatters #swiftwick #chaseadventure #hokaoneone #timetofly #skratchlabsambassador #womenwhofly #ultrarunner #marathoner #ultimatedirection #selfpropelled #superfithero #plussizeathlete #effyourbeautystandards #liveadventurously (at Central Park, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4Xy0WjHA7N/?igshid=139kvt2xmpcwd
