I dont normally share stuff like this but I'm coming up on 2 years sober this November and I still cant wrap my head around it. I never thought I'd get more then a day or two without using and now I have almost 2 years. There's not many things in my life that I'm proud of but I am so fucking proud if myself for this

Today I am celebrating my 2 year anniversary of sobriety. Its a great day and I am blessed to be here today and away from drugs. It definitely hasnt been an easy road, but my final waltz with the devil was 2 years ago and I’ve had to live one day at a time to get here. I am free

My thoughts on self harm: from a former one..me

When you use to self harm, but you've recovered...you never really fully recover. You'll always have those nights sometimes where you get that panicky feeling deep in your gut of needing that razor against your skin. And that doesn't mean that you pick it up again because you won't. But it just means that for the rest of your life you'll always remember what it's like and maybe sometimes you'll even feel a ghost of it...but trust me you never fully recover. You just get to the point where you're strong enough to want to live.
