Summary :
[ Dear VIP user, as per the recent upgrade of both accounts and the general outlandish improvement of the storyline, you will be pleased to learn that the plot has thickened. ]
“Absolutely ecstatic to learn this.” Shen Yuan replied, unimpressed.
At this point, it wasn’t as if he wasn’t familiar with the System’s cruel nature already.
Wait… “Both accounts”…? What did that mean?
[ A new challenger wishes a fair game against you. ]
A new challenger…? Shen Yuan pondered who could that be before he asked, “Wait… a game? What for?”
[ A game to determine who the rightful owner of the body you’re currently possessing is. ]
I FINALLY hung up my posters 🤦🏻♀️😁
The waters had turned warm, and Lydia’s people, as they do each year, went deep. They left their own territory to venture North and dove down until the water was thick and dark and cold around them, and then they went quiet. Back in mer territory, divers would spend the warm months exploring her home and likely damaging it with their clumsy false fins and seeking hands. They would splash loudly at the surface and empty glass bottles would sometimes find their way to the reef. Over the past two months, the injury she had received had healed over, though evidence of it still remained, and it ached in the arctic water of her hideaway.
Blessedly, autumn arrived and the return to home waters was uneventful. Repairs had yet to begin on the palace, nurturing the corals that had been damaged and making certain that the kingdom itself remained camouflaged from predators. Lydia slipped away from her guard toward the outer edges of her waters where a formation of stone sat just below the surface. There had been rumors growing of something swimming in the area, dangerously close to territorial waters, and while the council decided whether the rumor had any merit, she chose to act.
The waters rippled as she approached the outcropping and waited, hidden in the joint of the smooth obsidian. Death itself was in her hand, a formidable weapon fashioned from a mixture of traditional materials and items salvaged from dumped fishing equipment and ancient shipwrecks. Broken glass formed a hooked blade, and onto its base she had affixed sharpened hooks and pointed metal that had once formed precise instruments. Smoothed from the waters, she gripped its shaft and steadied it against the swell of her pelvis. Jut beneath, the watery light caught a jagged patch on her hip that seemed to be growing strangely, the new scales not quite as smooth and uniform as the rest. If there was a scout, a spy, an assassin, Lydia would deal with her swiftly. And so she waited.

"Why are you staring at me like that?"
Aicendor flushed a little at the fact that he’d been caught staring at another. “Ah...! I apologise, serah. I meant no offence - I assure you.” He replied apologetically, sub-consciously moving a hand to scratch his head.
In a much quieter and sheepish voice he added, “I have a bit of an annoying habit of spacing out whilst I’m thinking, which sometimes ends up with me accidentally staring at people...”

...you stay up until 2:30 in the morning to binge watch 4 episodes of OUAT, and the whole darn season was AWFUL (writers, the depths to which you have disappointed my expectations from season 1 are just unspeakable) but the 2 hour finale was INCREDIBLE...and then the bombs at the end of the episode, one ingenious and the other so stupid...zomggg
