I usually don't go back to old work but I remember having rushed this one and had always been frustrated about it Little tribute to old classic scifi/fantasy movies and their matte paintings. I've always thought there was some kind of romanticism/silliness in the way aliens worlds are portrayed in old movies, definitely not realistic like we would aim for today but still captivating I also like the "still backdrop" feel of old matte paintings compared to the ultra dynamic things we can do today, I think those static shots have that painting feeling that I really like, that's what I've tried to capture, at least in my head" Very cool...
