Asskicking Woman With A Nuanced Personality
Woman Who Is Totally Awesome At Many Things Though Probably Not Everything Because That's Boring
15 - I want to rescue from their horrible narratives. Hmm, as in, "ugh this character is great but why is the author so weird about women?" Or as in "let's NOT get you killed, how about?" Mix of both, I guess?
Kitty Levin, Anna Karenina. Okay, this is a Why Is Tolstoy Weird About Women one. Granted it's been forever since I read it but I distinctly recall a point at which Tolstoy goes on about how newly-married Kitty has a little spell of playfulness "as if she ~knew by instinct~" that babies and stuff were likely to happen and life would get difficult and boring and possibly dying-in-childbirth would happen. Instinct? What? Fuck man, I can accept that she was totally sheltered and had little idea about the hows and whys, but I am pretty sure that she would be on top of the whole "yeah well, after you get married, babies are a likely thing, better have some fun while you can." especially since her sister has like ten million kids
Lady Arnold (Arlen, Barnard, etc.), the Matty Groves ballad. Except for how I like to think she totally planned on a bizarre horrifying showdown to end her petrifying marriage.
I feel like Les Misérables and Victor Hugo Why Are You Weird About Women covers a lot of ground
Phaedra, as from Euripides' Hippolytus. Goddamn.
While I'm thinking about Babylon 5, Talia Winters. :(

Oh man, padded shorts and Jehan! — and yet they look strangely right on him.
Bahaha. What are those poofy shorts even called? Where would Jehan get them? IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO SIT IN THEM? So many questions.

ahah for picking incredible colors, I meant. Mine just clash together so much I need to put a gray/brown/whatever-color-theme-I’m-going-for layer at around 40% opacity on top of it so that it won’t burn everyone’s retinas.
Oh uh wow that is NOT A THING I CONSIDER MYSELF GOOD AT but like I usually pick a one or two basic color scheme and go with that? Like, this sketch was purple and gold (not yellow; redder than yellow, not enough red for orange.) If I showed you just my values layer, it's all purple and gold, just two colors! Sometimes I go for three but I try to keep it simple because I AM EASILY CONFUSED. Um, and then I pick colors that build off that? There's a lot of purple in that skin tone, and the gold makes most of the highlights. OH but one nice/easy thing about a scheme like that is it make the clothes easy? Because like the vest draws off the red in the purple and the eyes draw off the blue ? IDK IDK I DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE ANY COLOR THEORY I just try to pick easy things to make up for my staggering ignorance.
