a gentleman told me recently that what drew him to me was that i’m a “simple woman”, as he is “a simple man himself”. i chuckled a bit to myself. for i am not at all a simple woman. or perhaps i am, but only in certain ways.

for example: i’d be into having a standard lunch of a delicious burger with a side salad, fries, and my fave brand of root beer in lieu of a $600 gold-covered steak. but i wish to enjoy that meal either in the restaurant, poolside, or via room service… of the versace mansion/hotel.

i find nature to be lovely and would most definitely enjoy a picnic in the park or on the beach… but with the air of a fine-dining experience. complete with pretty cutlery and luxe decor (that’s appropriate for the outdoors of course), and a relaxed but stunning outfit.

a simple sweet flower, handpicked and gently tucked behind my ear by my lover, would be enough to make me feel as though i am in my very own fairytale. however, i still desire the over-the-top bouquets, surprise trips, and welcome the most lavish gifts of all sorts.

so you see? not that simple. 🍒
