So i turned 30 this week... and like any #30YearOldLady would... Day 1

I had intended to post this yesterday buuuuuuuut I forgot /shrugs

So I finished my first game of the year - Tetris Effect! By finishing I mean completing the story mode - this took me about two and a half hours and was completely worth the $27 CAN that I paid for it. That’s not to say I’m never going to play the game again, I’m already thinking about going back and playing more to increase my ranking. I’m also working my way through Super Mario Odyssey, getting a few moons each night before bed which seems to be the optimal way for me to play the game. It might take me ages to finish it but I’d rather enjoy the experience than rush through it.

I’ve also gathered up the three books I’d like to read in January, two Stephen King novels and a collection of short stories that have been sitting on my shelf for longer than I’d like to admit.

Hi!

You might have stumbled across this and asked yourself, why does this even exist? It exists because I want something to keep myself accountable to my goals for my 30th year of life. I’ll turn 30 on December 29th, 2019 and after a lot of internal stressing and panic I realized I want to define myself outside of my work. The goals will help keep me on the path to practicing proper self care and ensuring I’m doing something for myself. I’m sure I’ll change this as time goes on but for right now here’s what I want to do:

Finish 25 games from my extensive Steam backlog of over 300+ games (and counting - thanks Humble.)

Finish 50 books of any genre

As I mentioned before, these are just a bare minimum. Lets hope I can achieve these goals and maybe share some good games/good books along the way.
