I did it!
Easy hike, my ass!
My legs and my core are screaming at me!
This was a beautiful hike, though, and I’m pleasantly exhausted, so, mission accomplished.
I stopped for a little coffee on the way home, I’m finishing that now before a much needed shower.
Got these done today!!! Gonna bust out some more badges soon :) I hope.

My first 5k race!!
Placed 390 out of almost a thousand people and 54th in my age/gender division! I didn't beat a sub 30 but my chip time was 32:15 so I'm calling that a huge win considering I started running 5 months ago 😄
I'm really glad I did a practice run of the course since I knew to slow my roll going into the hill in the 3rd km that took a bunch of people out lol Didn't stop to walk and ran the whole way!
Oh and saw 2 great blue herons flying over the river!
Celebrated with chocolate chip pancakes and now I need a nap 😅

I’m sore already, even after putting up those small numbers. And I still have to pick up groceries.
I did it!
2.5 miles of green foothills, beautiful red rocks, and surprisingly hard hiking! (The trail was marked as “easy,” I think the problem is more that this is my first hike since my cancer diagnosis than that it was mislabeled)

Next time, I’ll try a hike closer to me; this state park is about an hour away and the drive honestly sucks.
Now I’m home, being a piece of furniture until I muster up the motivation to make veggie soup. I might soak my sore muscles in a hot bath and change into jammies first.
Workout:
Hike at a national wildlife refuge! It was more of a gentle nature walk, a flat loop around a lake, but it was so pretty.
And so loud. Red winged blackbirds are SCREAMY GUYS
It was 1.83 miles of walking, and now I’m pleasantly tired.
