Okey-doke, so I took this pic for a reason but right now I'm just gonna bask in how the simplest tweak in GIMP turned the neon luminescence up to EPIC!

That's DeAndre Wolfe up there, if you're wondering. Yup, another cameo. (When I said extravaganza, I meant extravaganza.) He doesn't look anything like that in the story, though. One, he's got a custom bodyshape, and two, he might get kicked out of his own car if he was rolling around dressed like that...and I'm not remotely tempted to reshoot that particular scene just for a laugh.

I just wanted to show off the fact that while I suck at textures (like, really) I finally figured out a way to replicate the template choices for the sims 3 glam rock outfit because I was so stupidly pleased with myself, lol!

TS3 on the left and my 3t2 DeAndre on the right. Not exact, of course, but it works for me. (I did the other two template choices as well - the snakeskin was a real PITA but no pics atm.)

Oh yeah, he is wearing those particular shades in a different colour and that same facial hair. But not that hair! It was my "I'm Rick James, bitch" option converted for this post even though I still went in a different direction. Before I remembered I suck at textures I was thinking to jheri curl it up. No such luck.

What’s better for ratings than a Queen Bee rivalry?

So long as it stays in the family.

It’s doesn’t come up in the story at all (it’s a tv show) but while their rivalry does centre around a man (my 3t2 version of Matthew Hamming there), Titania’s character was actually brought in as his sister - a bit of a wild card and none too impressed with the conniving cougar who’s latched her claws onto little bro. Much sex, lies, and drama ensue.

And a bonus teaser, featuring a coupla sims nobody knows yet.

Suzy Strummer and Ebenezer Clavier are Bridgeport sims, like Bo and Flo, so their appearance isn’t all that random. In fact, Suzy and Lilly-Bo are buddies in TS3, so for my purposes, this party is where they met.

I promised to do character profiles way back when, so that’s still on the list. But one quick note: in her proper game, Suzy Strummer plays...the drums. Probably because, iirc, guitar was the only instrument in the game until Late Night/ Bridgeport so they wanted to show off the new ones, but still. Her name is Suzy Strummer and so in my rendition, strummin' be what she does!

And...since it feels strange to just drop off a coupla text posts, here, have a pic of the aforementioned new 3t2 sims arriving on the scene before I head back into my comfortable radio silence.

Oh, and on that note, if anyone was wondering...uh, there was a third part to Part 3 that, for the longest time, I thought I had already made public. I finally realised that I did not and why - there were a handful of pics still needed. Sounds as simple as could possibly be, doesn’t it? Oh, no, no, no. That would’ve been too easy. Too much like playing a damn game! But if I start that rant I won’t know where to stop. I’ll just say it’s going to be a while.

She’s Got It...Yeah, Baby, She’s Got It...

Lilly-Bo had always been the more dominant personality, even on camera...until here lately. It was weird. The natural order was for her to go first - she was born first! She was the one with all the ideas, the one who made all their plans. Though she had to admit there was an effortless glow about Flo, one that she couldn’t fake...but she still wanted to be the one to lead the way to fortune and fame!

And for her part, Flo-Flo was happy to let her. She only came to the coast to stay close to her sister and she only took jobs that Bo approved so what gives? It’s not like they don’t both know the score on why she gets more callbacks but they’re in this together, right? Chique chicas 4Life!

Because the truth is the sisters never have competed with each other. Intentionally. But when they do find themselves in competition...oh boy... Kaboom!!

HA!! "Hate to burst your bubble, sis..." :-D "Shut. Up."

But it’s always in fun.

Because if there's one thing they both know how to do it's look good and have fun!

And now I think I’m officially done making your eyes bleed with all these crazy colour and shape combos. Ah, the ‘80s. Or should I say, ugh, the ‘80s...

But I had fun doing the pictures! I really would’ve loved to get Val doing his thing in the ‘70s, that was my first plan, but his kids aren’t nearly that old in my game so it’s on to the ‘90s we go...

VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR

Why on earth can’t photosets have proper titles?

Anyway. Here are a few more flashback shots of my girls, Lilly-Bo and Flo-Flo. (And more to come.) The first two are from Lilly-Bo’s veejay audition. The network had been getting some heat over their lack of diversity so when she walked in everyone sat at attention. This girl might be just the ticket--she had the look, she had the energy, they were already mentally creating segments called “Lilly-Bo Peep” or maybe “Lilly-Bo Peep This” - it was going to be so Excellent. And then she opened her mouth. No noticeable accent (they breathed audible sighs of relief) but no personality! She was all, like, Mona Monotone. What the hell happened? “Next!!”

Flo-Flo was having a bit more luck even though being a star wasn’t really her dream. She’d rather be behind the camera. Not that stardom was chasing her down or anything but she had been singled out for a Poise-und Llamas video around the same time that Lilly-Bo lost out on her dream gig. So that was hard, cuz Bo made her go. And the whole experience kind of sucked to Flo, not the least of which was the music--Flo-Flo was more into pop and hip-hop (although her sis might have a bone to pick with her there but she should’ve dusted off her ego and gone with her then!) Everything about it--the atmosphere, *blech*, the people, *barf*! She wasn’t doing that kind of gig again in a hurry. But on the plus side her stills did all come out kinda pretty...

Just a couple of up-close and personal shots of my conversions of Lilly-Bo and Flo-Flo Chique. I never make sims to task so I’m pretty proud of them!

Source images on the left are their TS3 originals from Sim Wiki (also links to their pages on each name above). I knew there was little chance of their being recognised but I threw some ugly streaks onto those 3t2 braids for Lilly-Bo anyway (they didn’t map properly but, eh, I only needed her to look like this briefly). And I couldn’t locate a conversion of Flo-Flo’s pigtails but I’d have little use for them anyway. I don’t do supernaturals so I completely ignored/forgot about that vampire thing. When I played TS3 I did leave most of the vamps as vamps in Bridgeport but pretty sure I cured her. (Yep, my townies get played, too. No sim is off-limits! Except for those corruption-ing ones.)

GUESS WHO’S GUEST STARRING...

Here are the last of the premade bit players, some more bit than others.

1- The emphasis is inverted, father and daughter won’t be seen in person but the daughter is the only one who could be recognisable as both parents start off deceased in-game. And her mother (in the corner there), who is featured, was all template-faced so I remade her from said daughter and...uh, some sim, don’t remember, probably random. (Also threw in the unmerged pics at the bottom and captioned them for some reason.)

2- These two may be looking a tad less wholesome than we’re used to seeing them. But they were young, not even married yet, so let’s just say this is who they were before they got subsumed by suburbia. (And the lady is still lovely, I think, even when the story’s not hers...♫)

3 & 4- I...don’t have anything to say that wouldn’t give them away directly.

(Now let’s see if this hood that I just dumped stuff into willy-nilly, anything I thought I might need, will actually hold out long enough for me to be able to finish the damn scene. I had hoped to also be able to keep up a bit of low-key, undocumented gameplay there for a gen or two but it’s not the biggest of deals if I can’t. I guess. It’s a test hood, completely separate from my main hoods, fyi. Not quite so reckless with those.)
