‘Flower Shower’ Comeback Stage

it felt good to be back promoting.

and this time she was performing something she could have fun with. ( along with it being two weeks, the fans were spoiled. ) in fact, she was so bright that her dressing room sounded loud even with the doors closed.

it was a mess inside, not a bad mess but a mess non the less. some of the backup dancers were joking around, the rest just resting. and kami was egging them on from where she stood, getting a final look-over. they already rehearsed, hair and makeup finished and her outfit had been chosen. all that was left? waiting to actually take the stage.

and she had already finished passing out a few cd's.

all she could do now was joke around.

then they were told to get ready, line up behind the stage because she was up next and they were almost finished with her set. which she had to admit was very pretty. there wasn't anything fancy, just a wall of flowers still the colors and the lighting made it very pretty. soon enough, she was given a pass to head to stage and get in formation.

as soon as her back up dancers bent down for the first move, a huge smile was on her face.

this part of her felt right. this was the type of performer she wanted to be. someone who could have fun on stage without any real worries. as the minutes passed, kami allowed herself to get lost in her performance. she knew every move, every step, her body would do what she needed it to do without much effort on her part. ( something she was only able to do once after she threw herself into practice. )

still it felt like she was floating.

floating until the end of the song came and she tried to hold her ending pose as long as possible. she had to let go at some point, skipping off stage with her backup dancers. the rest of her time at the at the music show was spent in a blur. at some point she started to nap until her manager woke her up, it was time for the final stages. kami slipped in with the rest, knowing a win wasn't coming her way. and by now? it didn't really bother her.

it was something she had gotten used to.

once the winner was announced, kami was one of the first to make her way off stage.

her plate was full.

it took a minute for that to sink in but she had stuff to do. ( and aria! ) there was her a variety show ( which she loved. ), collaborate project, aria's comeback and this queendom thing that the company said they'd be filming. honestly, jiyoo wasn't sure if she understood it all but hey, it meant promotions for aria and that wasn't something she would look down her nose at.

she was just a bit confused.

and that confusion she had kept mostly to herself. even as they prepared for the opening for the show, soon enough they'd be at mnet and they'd be recording. the company had already told them what they expected. if it was the company or just mnet, they maid their point pretty clear. this was going to be a different aria.

so why didn't their intro performance feel like it?

the performance felt like it feel in line with everything that they were already known for. or was that the point? she tried not to think about it too much and that worked for a bit. while they did her hair and put makeup on her, even during wardrobe, she forgot it for a bit. until she was pulled to the side, a camera in face as a staff member explained that they'd be doing a small interview.

the first question about about her excitement, was she ready to take on the challenge and jiyoo responded in kind. she was and that was the truth. then she was urged to talk about how viewers would get to see a different aria. ( which was a lie so far. ) but she played it up like they wanted.

soon enough, she was free to go and joined the rest of her members on stage. they went through a few practice runs but it didn't take long to do the real filming. she was sure it'd turn out very nice and elegant. it would fit the idea of what people hand in mind to a 't'. and at heart, that wasn't a bad thing but it felt bad when they were telling everyone they wanted to try something new.

and hopefully, they'd show something different later on. it was all she could think about for a while until someone told her they were finished and rushed her off stage.

she was taken back to change and then it was officially over, with jiyoo wondering if they really would step outside the box.

nov. schedule solo

she was sure i'm so sick did well enough for them to continue down that route but it was clear what the company had in mind with their wag-zak comeback. cute and bubbly was still there market while they could stray into the more mature themes every once in a while.

that wasn't much of a problem with jynx, she didn't mind their cute concept. it had brought them this much success. there was a saying, no need to fix what's not broken. their fans loved it and the general public knew it. and she was bright as always when they walked into the studio to film their comeback music video.

the sets were bright pink but she didn't have much time to look before she was whisked off to hair and makeup, getting style for their group scenes first. the first one had them in pink outfits and then more scenes were filmed with purple. she could be happy about that at least, they didn't have too many costume changes.

pretty.

if she had to pick one word to describe the entire music video and it fit in with most of their work. there wasn't much of a story line, just a bunch of pretty shots. once again, she didn't mind if it meant that shooting could go a little smoothly. it had been a while since they had a music video that had a real story line.

on their break, she sat on her phone and talked to fans through instagram, having entire chats before she had to stop and go back to filming. it was common for her to spend a lot of time interacting with fans. one of the biggest reasons why she had such a good relationship with her fans. now that she was back on set, it was time to film the solo shots. this gave her more time to play around at least or bother the staff members who standing around. her scenes were pretty much set and didn't require a lot of moving around. it gave her more time not in front of the camera.

but she was a doll in front of it when given the chance. there were a few re-takes, a few shots taken from different angles but as soon as it was down, her parts in filming were over. she had enough time to watch some of the scenes and take a few photos that could be released once the music video dropped.
