Selina x Jonathan? I’ve never thought about that one before 🤔 (mostly because I’m mostly scriddler trash) but that’s actually I good idea. Their personalities could work well together. Also, do you have any tips for writing fanfics (I’m so used to my own content) I would love to contribute to the fandom. Because sometimes you gotta do shit yourself. Thanks.

Selina/Jonathan is a ship that only works under very specific circumstances and interpretations because 95% of the time Selina Kyle would not let Jonathan Crane within 10 feet of her unless she was planning on killing him lmao.

In terms of writing tips? Just do what comes naturally. Write what you want to write and you’ll soon find your own voice which you will naturally develop on over time. You are not constrained by anything when it comes to fanfic so feel free to play around with ideas/interpretations. Be open to constructive criticism but beware of people who only seem to want to bring you down.

Practice is honestly the best advice i feel i can give? Like, 80% of the time you’ll be proud of something you’ve written and look back at it three months later and be like “the fuck?” because the more you write the more you naturally develop and it’s a constantly evolving process. It also helps to READ as much as possible. Every author has their own style and each style has different strengths and you can see how each works to the writers advantage and take notes on which literary techniques ‘work’ for you.

Also, paragraphs. For the sake of humanity please use paragraphs lmao! There is nothing LESS appealing about a fic that just a massive wall of text with no proper paragraphs.

I disagree with what you said about writing LGBT stories that are about coming out and stuff. No topic should be off limits. If you do proper research and interviews you can have correct information. Everyone is an individual and these are my OCs and my stories, only I can tell it. I know what these people think more than anyone. I'm doing a lot of work to write my my book and my friend who is gay loves it so much. saying someone can't write a topic because of their sexuality is wrong. Sorry

You are reacting against something we simply did not say. 

 I am not sure how to be clearer: the answer was, writing about LGBT characters is fine, and good. Writing about the LGBT EXPERIENCE is probably best left to LGBT writers, but if you decide to go forward, make sure to do your due diligence with research.
