Hey friends and fam, we’ve been pretty quiet on IG lately so we wanted to give a quick Tahlipino life update: after being separated for the last 4 months due to the Canada-USA border closure (Tsēmā in Smithers, BC and Jonathan in Asheville, NC, our hometowns) we were able to finally meetup in Northern British Columbia, Canada. In March, we decided to leave San Francisco temporarily to be with our respective families during the pandemic. We both feel fortunate to have the freedom and flexibility to work from almost anywhere with our laptops and the internet, as well as not being tied to rent or a mortgage. Our tiny home / Sprinter van, Mobi, made it safely across the country on a quick 5 day sprint, and is now on a mini vacay at home just south of Asheville, functioning mostly as a construction van while Jonathan works on his mom’s house reno’s. Looking forward to some more downtime adventuring and exploring the Appalachian mountains and parts of the east coast the rest of summer and potentially into the fall. These past few months have reminded us both how privileged we are and how important close family and friends have been during these challenging times. 2020 has shifted our outlook on life and re-focused our energies back on the vision and priorities we set before.
