[English Translation] Aqours 4th Love Live! ~Sailing to the Sunshine~ Pamphlet: Letter from Saito Shuka

“I’m gonna make Love Live! the best thing that ever happened to you!” 

Hello once again 😊 I’m Saito Shuka, the voice of Watanabe You.

I heard we were writing letters, but somehow I’m not thinking about what I should be writing at all (laugh). I guess I'm just dumping my thoughts out like "bam!" as I go along.

I don’t talk about myself much, but I think I should every once in a while.

I think it was high school, when I was introduced to Love Live! through SIF.

From then on, I started to really like Love Live!. I got pretty obsessed because I loved Nico-chan so much.

It was touching to see a girl my age trying her hardest.

Then time passed, and I was introduced to Love Live! Sunshine!! and You-chan, something I never dreamed would happen.

Upon meeting You-chan, my life did a complete 360*, and then I met you, the person currently reading this letter.

*(Note: She meant to say 180 but she said 360 instead. Later got made fun of for this on Uraraji :’))

I’ll never forget when I stood on the stage at Mielparque as You-chan for the first time.

I didn’t want to forget to the point that I made a memo on my phone to remember the various emotions I was feeling.

In the memo, I wrote “I want to pay everyone back little by little, in different ways. Also, I’m going to give lots of love to everyone in return.” Was I able to pay everyone back little by little? Was I able to give everyone lots of love?

Three years have passed and now we’re beginning our fourth year together. I’m trying to convey the feelings I had during those three years.

Or should I say, I’m writing this right now to reach you (laugh). Well, I’ve received sooooooo much love 💓 from you guys, it’s about to overflow. Thank you.

To be honest, the phrase “thank you” isn’t enough to fully convey how I feel. I always think about how it would be better if we had a word even more powerful than “thank you” (laugh). I’m truly grateful.

And I think it’d be nice if we could both continue to build a good relationship with each other. Please continue to treat us well. It’s because of you guys that we can keep performing.

That’s why, I want to see more and more stories come true as Aqours. Let’s create new stories together from now on. I’m gonna make Love Live! the best thing that ever happened to you! I’ll be in your care 😊☆

Aqours’ tenth member, everyone out there, is really important to us, and this theme song put me in tears. Just like we sing in the song, we’ll treasure these important bonds and keep moving forward—

#1: The venue this time will be Tokyo Dome! Any impressions or memories?

In short, it’s the stage I’ve always dreamed of. It’s a stage where not just Japanese artists, but artists from around the world come to perform at. I’ve been there many times to go watch concerts. I’m so happy that I have the chance to stand on that stage. I want to treasure every moment, and get my feelings of gratitude across to everyone. Because I was with Aqours, and I was with Yohane, I was able to work hard to make it here, and we’ll keep on doing that. Please watch us.

#2: Aqours’ hometown is Numazu⭐ Once again, what kind of place is it?

The best part about Numazu is the sea, the mountains, the people, and everything! I go there on my own time, and I’ve taken my family around to see all the places in the city. It’s a wonderful place that I want everyone around me to know about. That’s why I want to let more people know how wonderful Numazu is. I’ll keep doing my best as part of Aqours to make that happen!

#3: Tell us about a memory or story you have from Numazu!

This is a story from when I went there last year for Yohane’s birthday. There was a huge rainstorm, so it felt like Yohane was bringing her bad luck upon Numazu, as if she was really there. (laughs) Because of that, I came to love Yohane even more. It felt like I was going around Numazu together with her, and it made me really happy. It was a wonderful day ♪

#4: If you had to give Yoshiko a surprise present, what would you do?

If I had to give her a present… I can think of a lot of things, but I don’t know if she would be surprised by just that. So, with these feelings of “thank you” and “let’s be together from now on, too” in mind, I’ll cover all of Tokyo Dome in her white color! I hope she can see it soon!

4L Pamphlet - Message from Aqours

Finally… this day has come. We had a distant dream. We hoped to fulfill it someday. Maybe that was a little of an oversimplification. We thought there was no way we could chase after that. Something further than the most distant of dreams. The location we aimed for. I had never seen it outside of μ's MVs. A concert at the dome…

The moment I started stepping forward, the shudders started. My feet trembled. It was my first such experience. I was so surprised that I grabbed on to Riko-chan beside me without thinking. Her shoulders shook, and she slowly turned around. I could see her face slowly paling from nervousness. When I saw that… Somehow… the depths of my heart suddenly warmed up. Hehehe ♡ I felt energized. Gyuuu. I squeezed Riko-chan’s hand tightly. We both smiled. Seeing this, everyone else also started smiling ♡ Yes, this was Aqours’ smiles.

Because of these smiles, we were able to get to this point. Ever since the day we first resolved to become school idols. They were small, but step by step, we continued facing forward… And now we’re finally here! This isn’t a dream, it’s reality!

At this point, we have no choice but to enjoy ourselves with our all. We’re going to do everything that we can do right now!! Ehehe ♡ Let’s look to Aqours’ future together. I hope you get to see us at this place that we’ve always yearned for ♡ Let’s make this the world’s greatest stage together!

Erii Yamazaki’s profile and interview (4th Live booklet)

Erii Yamazaki  [山崎　エリイ]

From Chiba Prefecture, blood type O and born on November 20. Her hobbies include the harp, and visiting planetariums. Her specialty is classical ballet.

Tamasaka Makoto [ 玉坂 マコト]

14 years old, blood type B and born on March 14 (she’s a Pisces). She’s 156 cm tall and weighs 43 kg; her three sizes are B75/W53/H77 [I’m not entirely comfortable with how I’m typing out the 3 sizes of a 14 year old right now... but the info’s in-game anyway I guess /shrug - Nab]. Her nickname [what most people address her as] is Makoto, and her specialty is making bentos. Makoto likes Shihainin and kittens. Apart from her work as an idol, she is in her junior high school’s handicraft club.

Interview with Yamazaki-san 

Question 1: Compared to when Nanasis was released in 2014, have there been any changes in you personally?

Number 1 is Makoto’s changes. Makoto always acts while thinking about Oniichan [what she calls Shihainin], her feelings towards Oniichan are extraordinary! However, lately the number of people she holds dear is increasing, for example the other Nanastar members, and her fans. Makoto, who struggles with this development, is so endearing... During the first phase [of the game’s plot], one could not even imagine Makoto knowing a world other than Oniichan, the moment I read the episode, I feel like rooting for her, “do your best!” Please, I’d be happy if everyone would look after Makoto’s growth with me!

Question 2: What’s your favorite unit in Nanasis? 

It’s Lesca! I especially really, really, really love Behind Moon, I choose to play the song really often in-game too. Also, during the previous Memorial Live, my shift concided with Lesca-san’s rehearsal beginning. I had the opportunity to observe alongside Minami-chan, and they were so cute that both of us just went “kyaaa, kyaaa”... [LOL]. Soda type unit is the best!

Question 3: Please tell us your goal and motivation for the 4th live!

4th Live will be Ci+LUS’s 2nd stage, so by looking back at the things that I felt in the previous live, and the things that I learned for it together with Minami-chan, the two of us will try our hardest for 4th Live, while enjoying it! “Oniichan, Oneechan, please deliver... your feelings to Makoto <3″
