Cozy Caravan launches in Early Access on May 16

Cozy Caravan, a single-player top-down adventure game set in a cozy world, will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 16, developer 5 Lives Studios announced.
The Early Access release will contain the first region of the world with its playable quests, characters, and activities. More content will be added to this region over the course of Early Access, as well as a second region. Additional regions beyond these two are planned for release after version 1.0.

Embark on a single-player, top-down journey in Cozy Caravan, where the arts of crafting, trading, and exploration come together in a beautifully cozy world. Navigate through picturesque landscapes in your trusty caravan alongside your best buddy Bubba, setting up a mobile market in each new town. Craft a variety of items through delightful mini-games, then set up your market and trade with the local townsfolk. Cozy Caravan ‘Developer Walkthrough’ gameplay

5 Lives Studios has released a seven-minute walkthrough video for Cozy Caravan, its recently announced game about anthropomorphic characters traveling from town to town as part of a guild dedicated to making people happy.
“With Cozy Caravan we wanted to create the kind of game we wanted to play; something wholesome, relaxing and full of good vibes,” said creative lead and 5 Lives Studios co-founder Dean Ferguson in a press release. “We’re all big fans of games like A Short Hike, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley, so we wanted to put our own spin on the emerging cozy genre. We had a blast creating these characters, so we’re looking forward to sharing them with you all this spring!”

Publisher Deep Silver and developer 5 Lives Studios have announced a collection of three free content updates coming to Windbound from today through Q1 2021, each featuring new gameplay mechanics, cosmetics, and game modes.

Content Update #1 (October 30, 2020)
The first content update will launch today and features the new Witch Skin that enhances Kara’s abilities. The Witch Skin content releases alongside the all new Photo and Endless modes.
The Witch Skin is composed of three new items for Kara to equip. The Witch’s Hat (potions last longer), the Witch’s Outfit (wear to respawn nearby after death), and the Witch’s Staff (an unbreakable staff that releases homing fireballs with each melee strike).
The first of the new modes is Photo mode, which allows the player to pause the game, adjust the camera and take a photo. Players can also change Kara’s pose and expression, time of day, and add filters.
Creative mode for keen video game photographers offering full control over camera position and orientation, field of view, exposure, time of day, and position of the sun.
20 different poses and expressions for Kara.
20 hats and accessories for Kara.
A variety of filters, from black and white, to CRT, to pastel.
The second mode is the “Eternal Voyage,” which offers players an endless play mode. Endless play mode adds tracking to the map screen and save file to indicate how many stages the player has managed to survive. With endless play the game does not finish with Chapter 5, but continues on with progressively (but not endlessly) larger levels that become more varied and dangerous as you progress.
Content Update #2 (Q4 2020)
The Q4 2020 update will include additional skins for Kara, Free-sailing mode and an upgraded Nautilus tower experience, and will introduce a number of new towers for players to explore with new challenges to complete.
Content Update #3 (Q1 2021)
The early Q1 2021 updates will further expand the Nautilus tower experience while introducing new enemy types, combat moves, and gameplay mechanics via a “corruption” system. Additional details to follow in Q1 2021.
“Kara’s Ancestral Gear” Downloadable Content
“Kara’s Ancestral Gear,” originally offered as a pre-order bonus, is now available to purchase for $2.99 on console, PC, and Stadia digital stores.
Windbound is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Stadia.
