Repost from @rena.yehuda • Before shabbes sets and the holiday ends, I wanted to share this illustration of an imagined scene of me sitting in the sukkah with my great grandfather, Hymie Berman, who passed away when I was 8 or 9. . If I could have anyone as a guest in my sukkah, I would have my great grandfather Hymie over to sit with me late into the evening. He'd be cold probably, in his wheelchair, but I'd make sure we had nequick and oatmeal raisin cookies (which he loved) and more than enough blankets. I'd have a bottle of nice whiskey too, which would keep us warm.
