Good morning homies, I am getting heated over heights today

So I wanted to compare Sora and Leo (5Ds) to see what their height gap would look like. Sora is listed as being 4'5", which I totally buy because it seems pretty consistent when you put him next to other characters in his series

For comparison, Yuya is supposed to be 5'1", and they actually look like their height lines up with their measurements!

The head placement is a little off, but I'll give it a pass because anime- what's important is that their shoulders are the same distance apart as the example

Now we get to Leo

Okay sure, 4'7" sounds like a totally reasonable height for a 12 year old, UNTIL YOU LOOK AT HOW TALL HIS DAD IS SUPPOSED TO BE

(When I convert cm to feet online it says he's 5'7", but when I put the raw cm into the height comparison site, it says he's 5'9"? I'm a dumb American help)

My own unfamiliarity with cm aside, no matter which one you go with for Yusei, it cannot possibly be the truth about Leo's height when you look at how he stacks up next to Yusei

That is NOT just a 12 inch gap

This is what their height difference is supposed to look like

(Or if you just plug their cm in, it'll be 5'9" vs 4'9", I don't know, either way, still a one foot difference)

So clearly, Leo Cannot actually be that height if he only comes up to Yusei's waist. The Only way Leo could be that tiny in front of Yusei is if his real height looked something like this.

Yeah. That's how fucking short Leo would actually have to be to make his real height gap with Yusei make sense, which means that in conclusion, the height difference between Sora and Leo would HAVE to look like this

Now let's see what they'd actually look like with this sort of height difference applied to them

5Ds Month Day 13 - Kind of Off

I PUT TOO MUCH EFFORT INTO THIS WHEN I'M SO FAR BEHIND HOLY SHIT Anyway this is a universe alteration where instead of fighting against random monkey man, the Dark Signers that Lua and Luka duel against are (dun dun duuh) their own parents!!!!  Papa comes along a little later once Luka joins in to make it a fair tag-duel. Backstory: Mama and papa panic when Luka goes into her coma, and they look for a reason why.  They're met by Rudger, who explains to them about the spirit world, and they become angry that the spirit world has chosen their three year old to be its savior.  They go off on a "business trip" after Luka wakes up to find a way to sever Luka's connection to the spirit world, taking her childhood favorite card Ancient Fairy Dragon with them so that Fairy Dragon can't contact Luka. However, both parents fall victim to a terrible accident on their quest and die; only to be met by the Earthbound Immortal of the monkey spirit who offers them a chance to not only come back to life, but to dismantle the spirit world and save their daughter.  They accept, and they come back and unleash the Minus Curse on the Spirit World to destroy it, so that Luka will no longer be beholden to that world. They're reluctant to duel their children, but think it's for their own good.

So I really did just drop the ship name and then never give y'all anything else, so here is one of the little things about rockcandyshipping that I find amusing: Yusei initially being kind of unnerved by Sora 

I’ve been thinking about the ship in terms of post Arc-V canon, and I just think it’s really funny to imagine Sora and Leo making their way through the commons and having a few adults recognize Leo as a Topsider, and try to mug them as a result, only to have Sora absolutely wreck their shit without playing a card game

But especially my favorite part of that is the two of them going back to wherever Yusei’s living later on and Leo excitedly telling his dad about how cool and brave Sora was when he took on three guys at once

Yusei: You mean in a duel? That’s pretty impressive- Sora: No, with my fists c: Yusei: Yusei: Oh

Hewwo I'm back with another post on my rarepair: The first time Sora eats with the twins, he ends up making his own horrible food creation consisting of something like chicken and chocolate syrup, and while Leo is very skeptical about it, he really wants Sora to like him... So he gives it a try when Sora offers him a bite, and is surprised to find he actually likes it a lot.

Meanwhile, Luna's just sitting there like "You two are disgusting" while the boys try to convince her to try it, too

5Ds Month Day 2: Starting Line

thought i’d just do an edit of the veeery first appearance of two of my fave characters in the first 5D’s opening

Week 5 day 2-3: Fighting

So I’m a huge squabbleshipfamily fan and I have my own headcanon on how Vector lands by Crow and Jack. And he’s friends with Leo and Luna. And Leo and Vector tend to duel a lot and this is basically the moment Leo knew he lost. (I was so free and gave Vector two Synchro Monsters which are basically baby versions of his dads dragons and with that trap he can summon a copy of the adult versions)
