We’ve got some smooth rhythms all the way from the UK now, with 5eya’s Motion, a fresh and funky nu-disco track with a kick. Unsurprisingly lurking on Phonat‘s MOFOHIFI label, this track is reminiscent of the good ‘ol days of disco music, I honestly can’t get enough of it myself! Check it out below:

I only recently discovered 5eya (pronounced Seya) but im really digging his sound. Its really something all its own, especially in this song, Blacklight.

Out of Town/Motion is the latest double-header from emerging producer, 5EYA, due out 27th February 2012 on MofoHifi Records, the London label known for nurturing the acclaimed super-producer, Phonat. Two tracks of warm n’ easy, bumping disco house, demonstrating 5EYA’s penchant for adding nu-disco sparkle to unrestricted sample deconstruction and his kick-ass knack for melody. Prior releases, As Its Loud EP and Float EP, attracted praise for 5EYA from numerous tastemaker blogs, including a coveted RISE feature on style-bible, Dazed Digital.
