After looking into our system “family” dynamics, it reminds me so much of wolf packs haha.
We pretty much have two alters, of which both are high ranking/gatekeepers, as well as being the mother and father figure for the majority of the system.
The female presenting alter outranks the masculine as well. Very interesting!

I question if any other critters feel significant species dysphoria in relation to speaking?
Not just in the way ones voice sounds, but the act of speaking in & of itself.
We frequently find ourselves wishing we could simply choose to stay silent without the humans chasing us off their territories.
