other bucky specific headcanons: > bucky loves all animals especially cats and lizards and after he's substantially healed and readjusted to modern life he works at a pet shop > he's noise sensitive to organic sounds (shouting, clapping, thunder is really bad) but takes a big comfort in mechanical/electronic noises and likes to hide in tony's workshop and listen to him work > when he was younger he was the kid who ate bugs on a dare

OKAY I AM OBSESSED with this second headcanon because I have a lot of Feelings™ about recovering!Bucky and ASMR. (Silence is probably TERRIBLE for him.) I can totally picture him finding a warm corner in Tony’s workshop and listening to the ambient noises and falling asleep ; A ; (and Tony is like “lol deadly assassin look at this kitten”)

VERY YOUNG BUCKY WOULD ABSOLUTELY EAT BUGS ON A DARE FOR ATTENTION. I especially have a lot of emotions about 616!Bucky doing that as a kid – like growing up as an army brat and being the only kid on the army base and being kind of the mascot. I always kinda wonder what that does to a person’s sense of self/their idea of how they fit in with the world. I can TOTALLY see him eating bugs on a dare for attention/approval at a young age before we went all Lt. Hendley (HOOBOY GREAT ESCAPE) and started smuggling contraband for everyone. (After that I doubt he’d feel the need to do weird dares.)
But yeah MCU!Bucky definitely ate bugs as a kid because he’s a showboat. XD
