That is a rare occurrence in itself.

humans can’t travel via bifrost   ----------------   the sheer force and energy required to propel a being from one realm to the other ,  in seconds ,  would rip the flesh off their bones .   however ,  they can be enchanted to withstand a trip or two .    Thor had a pendant on him that he swore he would use in emergencies only   (   for the Æsir have never been overly fond of humans in their world ,  in the same way most Gods aren’t fond of exploring theirs   ) .   

this pendant ,  a simple ,  smooth ,  blue - grey stone engraved in a spell ,  written in runic symbols ,  with a fine chain running through it .    this can be worn by a human ,  and can protect them enough for a trip to any other realm and back ,  as well as shielding them from the chaos that may greet them at their destination   :   be it an unexpected encounter with trolls ,  giants ,  or sinister elves .

some time ago ,  Thor being Thor ,  lost his pendant on Earth .      and though he has yet to find it ,  it’s endearing to see the folk belief of dynesteins ,  or thunderstones ,  blossom from his clumsiness .
