My favorite part of Nier Automata so far is that 2B is the only one actually committed to the whole Emotionless Machine thing. Like we open on her monologuing about how life is meaningless suffering and she wants to kill God and then it's all business as she watches her squadmates die and starts slaughtering robots but once we're off mission and start interacting with other people or having conversations with 9S and 6O we realize that no, actually, everyone else does have emotions and regularly wants to express them but 2B gets pissed off whenever someone tries to feel something on the clock cause it's not mission relevant but nobody ever takes a hint and gives up on reaching out to her so we have awkward scenes like 9S trying to get her to use a nickname for him mid-fight or 6O crying over getting rejected by another girl and 2B is just standing there like "why the hell did you think I would want to have this conversion". Like 9S will call out hostiles and she'll just go "I'm aware" girl does NOT give a shit about any of this. She's fully willing to kamikaze herself but you couldn't bring her to a birthday party with a gun to her head. Girl of all time.

fav part of nier automata so far has been getting random check ins from 2b's operator bc so far its been 2b and her little twink exploring the robot village and getting a call from operator going like 'hi twin💔 the android girl i liked rejected me💔 killing myself now💔' and 2b going 'dont😐🖐️ thatd be rlly inconvenient' and operator going 'omgg bestie🥺 u need me?? omg ily xx byee' like hell yah girlie toxic wlw transcends humanity

Breaks up with her fiancé when he loses his position as an esteemed doctor and laughs to his face and then 9 years later it's her who cannot get over it and when she asks him to get back with her and gets rejected she decides to make it everyone else's problem. She's mean she's shallow and she has so many problems I love her. When she finds out her ex-fiancé is a murder suspect she decides to testify against him and make sure he gets arrested even though she isn't actually sure if he committed the crimes (he did not btw) so she's basically framing him out of bitterness. Like 90% of the personality section in her wiki is just listing her flaws and for some reason I find that so funny. Despite all the shitty behavior she's pretty easy to empathize with. Like yeah she might be a spoilt rich brat of an adult woman but it's also pretty clear her shittiest moments are a product of her spiralling more and more after her father's death and getting caught up in all the plot stuff. She also gets some pretty good character development by the end and starts going to therapy

Vain and superficial. Incredibly bitter over her fiancé, Tenma, refusing to get back together with her that she testifies to the police against him and helps them accuse him of her father's murder, even though she doesn't really even believe he did it. She's been through multiple failed marriages, and blows all of her inheritance/divorce settlement money on alcohol and expensive stuff. Ends up burning down her own house after finding out a guy she started to fall in love with had a wife. She's truly a pathetic failwoman and I love her for it. A huge bitch and I love for her that too. While she does become a better person by the end of the series and find happiness, she's still a wet cardboard box of a woman and deserves to win this tournament thumbsup

Operator 6O:

she talks about getting into astrology then immediately says she thinks it isn't real because she got an awful fortune. there's unskippable dialogue where she calls the protagonist and sobs about getting turned down by a girl she liked. she even dies
