Third Prince of Hell: Wrath
Wrath, a sin encompassing many things, it hides even within the kindest of us. Wrath is a powerful entity, and one that often evokes the strongest feelings. This Prince is represented by a Pyrops Candelaria Planthopper, commonly known as a Lanternfly. It flies a war flag on its big horn, and holds onto its blade proudly.
This pin is 2 inches in size with purple chrome metal and a swirl effect on the sword.
Designing wrath was no easy feat. A very important aspect I wanted to keep throughout this collection is not actually demonize any of the bugs. I didn't want to make insects commonly seen as pests represent sins that can be often seen as negative. A different insect species under the same name of Lanterflies are currently facing a lot of hatred due to being labeled as invasive in the USA. At first I had an idea of using an actual lanternfly for wrath- but then realised it wouldn't be a nice way to show off the species and possibly incite even more hatred towards a creature that is simple living its life in unfortunately not its native environment.

Currently ongoing! All the Princes were unlocked, so now we're onto finishing the Biblically Accurate Bugs with the next stretch goals!
Fourth Prince of Hell: Sloth
Sloth comes within many names, in many forms, some of which may not even have a word for it. The sin manifests within all of us, at every moment, but often gets mistaken, misunderstood, used as fuel towards cruelty. This sin is represented by a slug and seaslug mix- mainly Chromodoris willani. It is 2 inches in size with rainbow metal and a swirl effect on the mushrooms.
Designing this pin was a fun one, however I took a good few nights to sleep on the very first iteration. To me sloth often gets meddled in with substance abuse and it getting called as laziness when in reality there's a bigger issue at hand. I took the concept of it and ran with it.
The first iteration was to do with drinking, however I wasn't entirely happy with the simple idea of 'slug with many eyes coming out a bottle like a tempting snake' you know what I mean? So instead I went the route of other substances mixed with that allegation of 'laziness' shows as a warm cozy blanket. In the end the simple design was just refined into something much more appealing and coherent :)

Angels of principality generally look after some kind of place or establishment, so what's better than an angel looking after the Earth itself? And a millipede at that!

Fifth Prince of Hell: Lust
Lust. A perfect stare to capture even the sinless and entice them with promises of carnal desires they cannot deny. Lust is represented by a Pink Rose Butterfly, with a powerful feminine beauty and a promise of something unique, something new.
Lust was one of the hardest designs to make- solely for the fact that it was quite difficult to unionise the idea of it into a butterfly itself while keeping it demonic. It tooka a lot of building blocks to come to the design today, though there were much more erotic variants that I probably can't show on tumblr. One including bondage even.
The end design speaks for itself, and is explicit enough without being seen as explicit itself unless you look closer.

The second Prince of Hell: Gluttony
This prince is represented by a caterpillar- a creature that can grow an incredible amount in an extremely short amount of time while continuously gorging itself on food. This little bug demon has grown a second mouth to indulge in its favourite treats even more.
This pin features an effect I will be doing for the first time: blue chrome enamel. One of 4 pins with special metal techniques.

Mr Gluttony was a rather straightforward design, but it still went through a couple iterations before settling on something clear and coherent! The end design is based off the hornworm caterpillar, which turn into these:
Initially I had the idea of giving it a chunk of meat to hold, but the design quickly turned quite complex, and I opted to simplify it quite a bit.
