Another anthology comic is dropping from the comic book art group 7000 BC that I am a member of here in New Mexico. There was a long heated debate about what to call it and they somehow landed on The Shaky Line which I can’t say I’m thrilled with but that’s what happens with collaborations; you can’t always get what you want. This is a floppy unlike the previous book that was graphic novel size. I drew the cover as an homage to classic horror comics/movies as the theme is horror tropes. The cover also contains two references to the horror maestro Dario Argento that I included as a tribute to my late brother Jesse, a horror aficionado who loved Argento. Somehow a sketch I did of David Letterman ended up in there as well. I planned on doing a page of David Deaderman’s Top Ten Horror Tropes and drew a quick sketch in my sketchbook and shared it in a group Discord and it somehow was considered good enough to use as a pinup for the book. I wish I had know it was going to be used before hand because I definitely would have cleaned it up more and maybe added the list I originally planned. Anyway, it’s coming in time for Halloween and is going to cost about $5.
