Fake News (prod. by 75 Crates) by Gdot Selftruth http://ift.tt/2mXrvgb
Boston rapper G-dot (of acclaimed duo G-dot & Born) goes right for the throat of everything wrong about our modern society’s attempts at civil discourse with his fiery new single, “Fake News,” produced by 75 Crates. Of course, the track’s title is a direct reference to the phrase frequently used by the president, but G-dot knows that it goes deeper than the Cheeto-In-Chief. The Boston emcee unpacks a number of controversies and conspiracies that have come to light over the past few years, though particularly since the election in November 2016. From sniping Alex Jones’ insanity, to pointing out flaws in social media, G. Dot deftly makes his point about the world we’re all living in today. And he makes his strongest statement within the track’s first verse when he raps, “Real life is out of sight, so it’s out of mind/ Everybody for themselves, that’s the bottom line.” It’s a searing and truthful point about how we all got here, but it’s also a key piece of advice for how we can change things. “Fake News’ is now available for streaming through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms via Audible Cons: http://ift.tt/2DNgVze G-dot Online: • Twitter: https://twitter.com/capitalgdot • Instagram: http://ift.tt/2Dk3aae • Facebook: http://ift.tt/2DOwO8D
