PLECO STEVE! One of my fish babY Adoptees’
Came into a 75gal fresh water fish tank ❤ totally in love with my new fishie babies.
Home's freshwater aquarium 🐟🌱 #liveplants #aquarium #freshwater #fishes #colors #nature #75gal
So my dad got a 75 gallon aquarium for free a while ago, but my mom was like "There are enough fish tanks in this house!"
Which is true, because there are at least five tanks just in the living room. He's not like... an avid aquarium-keeper or anything. He just thinks they're cool.
So... this 75gal has been taking up space in the garage for the last few months, so finally I was like "Give it to me. I will take it for my new apartment."
It has a stand and the tank, and I THINK it has the hood but I don't know about pumps or lights.
The more I think about it, the more I realize how expensive it's going to be to start this thing. I used to have a 45gal for my puffers, so I don't think I can even visualize what 75 is like. Substrate alone is going to cost a fortune, especially because I want a planted tank so I can't just use plain ol' aquarium gravel.
On one hand, I'm terrified of the impending costs.
On the other hand, I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE A HUGE TANK AGAIN! I think I'm going to try to do some aquaponics on top if I can rig up something that will look nice. So many aquaponis look downright ugly. It's going to be the divider between my dining room and living room, so I need both sides to look nice.
