UHHHHHH - I am SO OVERLOADED RIGHT NOW - SCHOOL/WORK/EVERYTHING - BUT IF I DIDN’T AT LEAST TRY TO FINISH THIS HECKA OLD PIECE - I WOULDA BEEN TOAST - Thought of this forever ago - Matcha is my fav drink > coffee, tea, etc. - Tho like? This would not be her actual realm to rule over if she were a god? But thought it would be cool to draw anyway??? - It’s not actually this color but I used to get teh best latte one from this cafe and it came in this color - I started this and I got bored and it looked real bad so I pushed myself to finish it months later - Part of the reason I think I take so long on pieces is the details so I tried to let this one be """"sloppy"""" i.e. I coulda polished and defined more (like the skin), but kinda also ended up liking the texture, so I left it at a midwayish point.  - I think I need to take a break from painting (She said, after months of little to no submitted paintings)... BUT I do wanna finish HAR… My hands are craving physical art tho, like sewing esp or felting or clay or etc. - Am pretty satisfied with this tho! AND LOOK AT ME AND MY MUTED COLORS YAS - Last but not least never ever use blurry or super airbrushed ref pics you will regret it SO BAD

There was a huge Kadooment parade the other day - I saw it leaving work and was like WHAAAAAAA~! If you guys haven't seen the costumes, they're INCREDIBLE, so of course I went full nerd and started taking a million pictures on my phone - anyways, from the costumes, I was inspired to draw some of the women as bird animal hybrids! So here's a gold and red bird human hybrid - the real picture has a lot more joy and expression, but I'm still getting the hang of these new brushes and it was supposed to be a quick sketch (took forever, of course, but at least I made myself finish) I want to do more hybirds, cause I took so many pictures... I'm not sure still how feathers combine into curly hair, so I def need more practice - for now, I just added some of the colors as highlights, but this can't continue forever... ahem. The parade itself was spectacular, well worth the stop I made! Yay Kadooment!!! For practice sketch, sorry for inaccuracies... Please don't hate and cheers!!!

Ehhhehhh! LOOK I'M TRYING A NEW ART STYLE CHECK OUT MY JOURNAL FOR THE DEETS! It's Yokai Chan! hahaha I don't know actually. It comes from a pic taken by the lovely chocomelo​ - I was browsing her tumblr and for some reason this pic caught my eye:

 Anyways, I thought she's a very old demon who decides to go to school! Is she evil? Is she good? Dunno, but either way she's gonna look adorable while she does it! Anyways, I've drawn 2 of Choco Melo’s photographs now, she just is SO GOOD at photographing the lovely Japanese fashion -  THANK YOU CHOCO MELO I LOVE YOUR WORK!

This is actually a old habit of mine. When I was in high school some very dear friends got me the Fresh Fruit books - for those who are unfamiliar, it's a book that's all pictures of harajuku styles! (SHOUTOUT TO THOSE FRIENDS I STILL LOVE THOSE BOOKS AND CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT THEM FOR ME) I used to take the book and choose girls and redraw them while watching tv and relaxing - looks like I kept the habit! hahaha I don't know if I'll draw more, I'll have to see, but I really like this style so maybe! Might try the other girl in the pic... Do a Jackalope demon? (google it you won’t be dissapointed). We'll see. This was fun I love drawing Harajuku/Kei girls >.< I really miss Japan!

So here she is - I made her zombie doll (which is from Leo and Stitch I realize) like a reverse voodoo doll who controls her? hahaha I dunno. Fun colors, good practice! Cheers and don't hate!

Man...

I was thinking about how a teacher said to me recently how all my faces look alike... Ugh I can't stand knowing that... I mean, it is my fault, cause I tend to like the same features, but I can't easily fix it... BUT I feel like my art will get stuck if I do the same face over and over again... I guess it's time to start practicing caricatures...? Maybe as like a sketch warmup... Ah well, practice is practice! I guess I'll try... Sigh. I’m still determined to finish the Inuyasha Revamp, as well as some other ones, but after that, maybe a break... I’ve got 4 more Inu revamps, and I’m also planning on uploading some paintings soon - wish I could paint faster, it’s easier to show different faces when you’re not sketching! Ah well. Practice, practice, practice! Besides, I think I’ll have fun drawing celebrities... As long as they turn out ok, and I don’t get frustrated... SORRY FOR THE ESSAY GUYS I HAVE A LOT TO SAY OK

annnnnnd number 3! hahaha her neck went a bit long but whatever, I love long necks! Here's my take on Kagome, who would probably be called Katy in English... The thing that bothered me most about Kagome is that she like never wore her own clothes - like, it was always ALWAYS her uniform, and I get that the author has a thing for uniforms but it didn't really define her character - plus who runs around fighting monsters and demons in the woods in a skirt?!!?!? (besides the Scots and that's diFFERENT I TELL YOU). But anyways, I did like the colors, so I gave her a little hipster outfit (I feel like she would dress very hipster), which could probably work for fighting demons (or at least better than a skirt!) Errrrr yeah! Sloppy, but good practice, and I like drawing them so much I don't want to slow down and refine TOO much~! Hoping to do more soon, but will have to see which one appeals to me... ;) Ok, till later, cheers and don't hate!

Inuyasha Revamp and now my fav - the lil bro! hahaha what I REALLY should call him is Corgiyasha - sorry guys, but Inu is TOTALLY A CORGI!!! At first I thought he was a cat, but then I read the series and uh - turns out he's part dog demon! Heheh... But the more I read, the more I realized he was ill tempered, loyal, and adorable - just like my corgis!!! So he's a corgi to me ;) it's funny because I have 2 corgis - one is white, one is merle, which is like a mix of browns and blacks - of course the white one is NOTHING like Inu, while the merle is! ENOUGH ABOUT MY SPIRIT ANIMALS. I love Inuyasha! It's such a great manga AND anime! It's dark, sweet, and funny! And I learned a lot about demons. Definitely one of my faves! This is my take on Inu - kinda modernized him, maybe it's what he'd wear in Kagome's world? Or he's the bastard younger brother street runaway of Sesshi - either way, kinda looks like a track suit. I'm too lazy to draw his necklace or sword, so let's just say he just got free. I want to draw the whole gang but we'll see how far I get! Sloppy but good practice and I had fun, so don't hate! Cheers!

IIIiiiiit's Kyōkai no Rinne, or Rin-ne as I think it's said in america - ANYWAYS, for those who haven't read it, it's done by the author of Inuyasha, and it recently came out as an anime, though I haven't seen it yet! IT'S ABOUT GRIMM REAPERS!!! (Grim? Grimm?) Basically there's a girl who can see ghosts, and she runs into this reaper who has to purify souls and they become friends - it's definitely sweet and way less dark than Inuyasha, and not really scary, but it's very cute! The most memorable one so far where where a girl's shadow became a sweet potato and the entire potato patch became cursed and came to life hahaha! I learned a lot too, but ANYWAYS tangent over. THESE are some of the various cats you see in the series - the cats work with the reapers, as per contract. From left to right we have Rokumon, Suzu and Oboro - I think they're American names would be something like Roku, Suzy and Oberon, but whatever. They all have the intellect of young adults, but maturity levels vary, and some times they reference them as children??? Idk I just drew them as how old they are referenced to in the manga (so - 8, 10, 13 ish???). Just tweaked their outfits a bit, it's very rough I know but I wanted to do something with them quickly. I hope to draw a lot of the characters, I like the series! THANKS DON'T HATE (ONE OF THE FIRST FEW TIMES DRAWING CHILDREN PLS DON'T HURT ME FOR OFF PROPORTIONING)
