So for those of you that don’t know about my hilarious phobias (spiders, gnomes, zombies, hospitals) I would like to point out that doing this review was incredibly difficult (and hilarious). If it wasn’t for the help of my best friend there probably wouldn’t even be a picture of this little guy.

These little handmade christmas decorations wouldn’t strike most people as terrifying, and had I not been made to handle the box he’d probably be cute on just the sake of a picture. They’re made out of cloth and fiber and ultimately sit similar to elf on a shelf. Matter of fact the kids have decided “Puppy Jesus” (they named him that all on their own I swear) should be next years elf on a shelf during the holiday season. He’d honestly probably just make a good house decoration in general because he’s grey, while his festive counterparts are probably only good once a year. That being said, I was asked to complete the review and immediately decided that Blue (i’d rather not publish her name so she’s getting a cute anime code name. if you don’t get it you won’t get it. sorry) would be helping me with this one. Of course tearing into the stack of packages without checking my amazon account for what was coming in that day was, in retrospect, not the smartest plan. Must’ve been shipped from farther away than i thought because the flimsy box he was contained in had basically flatted on itself and he was sticking out. For a girl terrified of gnomes I think I held my shit together pretty damn well! Of course my roommates got a huge kick out of watching me carry it at arms length across the street to Blue’s (because of course in my magical fairytale of a life (sarcasm) something finally went right and I wound up living across the street from my best friend).
Anyway, fear aside her family loves it, especially the kids. He tends to have to come off the shelf and get hidden whenever I come over (all the time. he pretty much lives in the kids room that I never go into). But they love him and think he’s adorable so who am I to judge. Plus the little dudes pretty durable. So, far he’s withstanding constant toddler handling pretty well.
Time will tell if he remains the new elf on the shelf but make the decision for yourself and get a cute decoration for the house.
Decision?
As long as you don’t have gnome fear I’d say pick one up for you and the kids.
