Excuse my ignorance. I only half get this (a riff on the actual Chinese New Year greeting, right?). Please explain?

there's lots of homophones in Chinese so the greeting for Happy (Gregorian calendar) New Year - yuan dan kuai le (元旦快乐) sounds the same as yuan dan kuai le (圆蛋快了) which could be literally translated as round egg quick [modal particle] "了" - which I've translated as "eh"
