One day, by chance, Sinbad the porter meets Sinbad the sailor. Ever since they met Sinbad, the porter has been invited to hear about the journey of Sinbad the sailor. On the seventh day, Sinbad the sailor began the story of his last journey. “Travel has been a huge benefit to me. But all the riches of the world could not resist the sea. I again went with like-minded people in search of a good deal. Soon we stopped at Madinat al-Sin. There, all of us, merchants, received a fair amount of profit. Shortly after we left the island, a strong wind hit us. It also started to rain. We got wet in the water, as did our cargo. We all prayed to Allah and asked him to save our lives. When the storm subsided, we all breathed a sigh of relief. But the relief did not last long.
The captain climbed up the mast and shouted. He told us that the wind had driven us to the farthest corner of the world. And he was sure that we would die here. He pulled out a book and explained that the sea was called the "Royal Sea". Also, Solomon, the son of David, was buried under the waves. The captain also told us about the huge snakes that lived below. We were told that the snakes could eat the ship right away. No sooner had the captain finished than there was a loud thunder. Soon the huge fish stuck out its head. Then another followed, and then a third. All three began to circle around us. The third and largest opened its mouth to swallow us. The mouth of the fish was as big as a city gate! All the men began to cry out to Allah for help. At that moment, a strong wind blew and our ship moved down to the reef. The ship immediately crashed, and we were thrown into the water.
Somehow I managed to hang on the board. At this point, I began to lament. I screamed at myself for being too greedy and now I'm stuck here and I could die. After a while, I came to my senses and promised myself that I would never travel again. Not in the real sea, not in a dream. For two days I continued to lie on the board like this. Finally I got to the island. There I ate fruit and found a river of sweet water. Like many times before I tied the logs and made a raft. Posted on stream. I did not take anything to eat with me and became weak in the following days. One day I was driving past a valley. And suddenly my attention was attracted by a big fall ahead. I thought I was going to be thrown off and smashed to pieces! I began to pray to Allah to save me from this.
In the despair I was in, I did not notice that the fisherman had cast his net. He pulled me ashore just before I reached the falls.I found that many people came from the nearby city. I was invited by an elderly man, richly dressed, to stay with him in his mansion. Once in his mansion I was well fed. In the evening I went to my room. I was told that I could ask the servant to bring everything I needed into the room. So, for the next three days, I ate and drank well, restoring my mind and body. Then, on the fourth day, the owner came up to me and asked if I would like to sell my product in the market. I told the man that I had lost my item. At the market I found that the servants had brought my raft.
One person agreed to pay one hundred pieces of silver. But the owner offered me a hundred and fifty and insisted that I accept his offer. So I did. When we returned, he told me that he had never met a man in his entire life who had survived more than three shipwrecks. He asked me to marry his daughter. At first I did not answer, but he continued to insist, and I agreed. I soon got married and lived happily until my wife's father died and I became the head of the family. Soon I learned a secret. Everyone in this city turned into a bird once a month. So I asked one of my friends to take me every time he turns into a bird. At first he did not want to do this, but agreed. When I was with him in the sky, I was amazed.
I've always wanted to know what it's like to fly. I praised Allah and thanked him. And the moment I did that, a great fire broke out from the sky. All the birds scattered and my carrier threw me to the top of the mountain. There I met two young men carrying golden rods. I greeted them and asked who they were. They told me that they were servants of God. I was handed a golden rod, and we went on. We got a man. He called to Allah for help. The moment he asked God for help, a huge serpent appeared out of nowhere and almost swallowed him. I quickly ran to help the man. Hitting the serpent on the head with a golden rod, I freed the man. We then continued walking, shortly after we found the bird men and one of them agreed to take me home. When I returned, my wife was very happy.
She told me to beware of the bird people. Also that they were connected with the devil and did not like the mention of Allah. I didn't want to stay there anymore. So, I sold all my possessions for a good amount of money and returned. When my friends and family heard, they were overjoyed. They were surprised that I had been away for twenty-seven years. But I told them and promised Allah that after this seventh journey, I would not make any other journeys. I thanked God for bringing me back home,” said the sailor Sinbad. Sinbad the Sailor told Sinbad the Porter about his hardships and how he acquired his wealth. Sinbad the porter apologized for the fact that, in his opinion, all rich people had an easy life. After that, the two Sinbads remained friends.
