Hayat , bazılarımız sadece tek bir notayı seslendirebilirken, diğerlerinin melodiler oluşturdukları güzel bir şarkıdır.
so i saw panic live in portland a few days back, my first show since moving to oregon. i get to the line & what do i see?
this was a line filled with, literally, hundreds of lgbt kids, several holding pride flags, others wearing rainbow-themed makeup, hair, or clothes. this group intentionally came to spew hatred to all these emo gaybies.
i spotted them as i was walking in, and turned to these two gay kids that were coming in behind me and my sister. one had a gay flag around his neck like a cape. they were fucking bewildered, cracking up about it, called up all their friends to yell about how insane it was.
i was stunned, cuz i'd never seen anything like that before. more than that, i was heated. there was a family in front of me that included a late-30s punker dad who probably moshed a lot in the 90s (guy in the social distortion shirt in that pic) - he was heated. we were all talking shit, getting pissed, saying we wanted to beat the hell outta of them. ofc, we didn't, no one did, since gays don't like confrontation + no one wanted to get arrested & miss brendon, & they were technically being peaceful. but everyone wanted to.
worse yet? some kids looked scared. they looked broken as they passed by that hate-spitting man. just about broke my heart. most took it for the ridiculous display it was, most laughed it off, but there was fear on some young faces and that pissed me off. i was hoping someone would tell brendon & he'd mention it during the show, just to validate the kids who had to face that on their way into a safe place. (didn’t happen but the show was rad enough i’m sure they mostly forgot anyway.)
so when we got up to them, we told them they were assholes. we all filmed it, it was pretty iconic. i asked why they were here & the dude with the megaphone said "because this is satanic music and we’re here to save you from sin", which made us all laugh. aforementioned dad took a selfie w the dude to patronize him, ahah. i wish i would’ve went for an intelligent argument but i was just talking shit :/ sure felt good though.
i told the gay boy next to me to wave his pride flag in the guy's face and he didn't want to, so i asked to. and what happened next? the most iconic and important thing ive ever done & ever will do, the most powerful i’ve ever felt & ever will feel, and the biggest dick energy i will ever have. my sister got a good video but here's a gif of the one i got.
dude looked at me, w my shortass hair, in my sunglasses & snapback chewin gum not givin a fuck, wavin a pride flag in his face. didn't affect him, but damn it was a moment.
THEN omg, the fella in the red shirt there with something about jesus?? as we went by, he went "your dads didn't spank you hard enough." we all DIED cuz it was fucking ridiculous.
so that happened. met my first west boro baptist church types. didn't like it.
Hayley's prety cool
win for the gays
