OCTOBER 2016 True Story Encounter: Colorado
MUST READ!! INSANE ALIEN ENCOUNTER.
Steamboat Springs, CO. Encounter Recorded by A. Springer:
“While I was on a camping trip thru the woods above Steamboat Springs, CO with a friend we had pulled off the highway to find a place to camp and after exiting the vehicle we came upon an elk carcass not appearing to be rotten yet and we approached it despite the horrible smell, there were no signs of it having been shot, or hit by a car, but just a very large hole where its anus had once been with big black flies filling it and swarming around it, looking at the head of the animal, its eyes were left open in a horrifying manner. As off-putting as this was, we didn’t have too many options for camping spots so we decided to camp there regardless of that obvious omen.
“We continued into the woods finding a place to pitch the tent about 1.5 miles off the highway. We took a hike around the area, looking for the source of a noise that sounded like a gurgling river down the hill. We got about 30 minutes away from the campsite when I was told intuitively to turn back, it wasn’t safe, we were going farther and farther into the woods but still couldn’t locate the water source. We went back to camp, started a fire and proceeded to pull out dinner. My friend and I had just noticed the lack of wildlife, no birds, no noises of any sort, besides the wind in the trees. We had barely got our dinner cooked before a fierce wind blew in, almost spreading our campfire so we put the fire out and rushed to the tent, listening to music to cover-up the howling.
“After about 40 minutes of being in the tent, almost like a premonition, in my mind’s eye, I saw two small humanoid figures in pilgrim clothing, 40” tall smiling and laughing, staring at us from the woods, mocking our presence. Once again trying to distract ourselves we pulled out a deck of cards to play a game or two, and not too long after that the wind picked up even harder and the tent seemed to be breathing from all sides. Seeing the fear in my friend’s eyes, I offered to take a look outside and make sure we were safe, and it was then that I smelled fire. The campfire had started once again and growing taller and larger than we had ever intended. I was forced to leave the supposed safety of the tent and within seconds of exiting the tent and rushing to the fire-pit, I heard something or someone running past the campsite with extreme speed, first to one side and next the other, circling us. But I couldn’t see it, only hear its running and suddenly the winds grew more intense, kicking leaves and brush up at us as we tried to put the persistent fire. And then the noises doubled, there were two of these “things”.
“We poured the rest of the liquid contents from our cooler onto the fire and in a frantic panicked state we gathered what we needed to from the campsite, meanwhile the noises from the woods around us growing louder and louder, like these “things” were getting closer. Suddenly as we were searching in the dark for the path to get back to the car we heard a guttural throat clicking coming from behind us… We were being followed. Frantic and terrified, it took us over 45 minutes to get back to the car, because our minds were so clouded, we kept turning to the left, going in circles. Once we made it to the car we got in and the dashboard lights in my friend’s older car suddenly turned on for the first time since she bought the car.
“There was a ringing in our ears, growing louder and louder and doubling in intensity by the second. I reached for the stereo and tried to put on some music, the radio or her ipod, anything to drown out the ringing, but the dial to switch modes was moving on its own, switching madly from FM to AM to AUX to CD over and over again, cycling thru them and the whole time the same static was coming out of the speakers, the dashboard lights flickering and pulsing in a strange manner. We were driving madly down the canyon, and we passed a police officer, pulled off to the side of the road and we considered flagging them down and telling them what was going on, but we knew the officer would think we were insane. The ringing in our ears never stopped, and neither did the static on the speakers even after trying to turn the power off on the head unit.
“We eventually made it back to my friend’s apartment, and quickly rushed in the door, fearing that we had been followed. It was barely 10 P.M. and less than a half hour later we recognized that I had left my phone in the car. We went back out to get it and while I was looking for it we both heard as clear as day that same throaty guttural clicking that we had heard in the woods. I partially pissed myself as we ran back in, my friend tripping and cutting open her foot. We had been followed.
“The rest of the night was spent in the living room on the couch, watching light-hearted movies, trying to forget the events that had just occurred.
“The next day, we had decided to return to grab the rest of our supplies that we had left in the woods, and we brought a friend to accompany us. Retracing our steps was like watching flashbacks in a horror movie, clips of the events of the night before kept replaying in my head. We got to the campsite to find it exactly as we had left it, the cooler over turned, with the food contents completely untouched. That was unexpected because we had assumed that at least the hot dogs would have been devoured by something, but nothing had been tampered with in any way.
“After packing up, we noticed that we couldn’t hear the gurgling river today, that was odd, because we had heard it so loudly before. So we wandered down the hill for over an hour trying to find what we could have been hearing the day before, but there was nothing. There were still no signs of wildlife, birds, rodents… nothing. After packing up and heading back out, in disbelief we contemplated that maybe we had just gone crazy with fear, a sort of panic-based hysteria. But we couldn’t have imagined that all, right? There was just too much insanity.
“On the walk back to the car we saw the elk carcass again, untouched by any scavengers except those big black flies.”
