Last lock-up for 8t Bags book. They have all been challenging and mentally exhausting. Always grateful for for the opportunity to try and do.

This lock-up for side B of the brown ink was more way more time intensive and mentally exhausting than the green lock-ups. Burning out. One more of these to do (brown ink side A) before the printing of 8t Bags about the Natural World is done. The printing is going well: the reward and a reprieve from all the work it takes to get there.

This green. With the blue, on that paper. 8t Bags about the Natural World…the day before, when I was locking this up in the bed, I asked myself, “Why are you doing this?” And then there was a several-hour delay before printing due to compositor’s error (that’s me) and fine tuning spacing and register. But when the printing is in progress, and the results are as good or better than expected, seeing it happen, that’s why I do it.
