☁ = being caught in the middle a storm with them .
♕ - Normally nature for all it’s fury wouldn’t be a problem for them at this point. The will of their hearts alone at their current level could conjure never before seen might whether in the names of healing or destruction. However this particular world and it’s brand of ferocious weather conditions held an entirely different opinion. Rumbling roars of thunder reverberated within the skies, only to compliment the crackling bolts of lightning that shot downward, spearing towards the ground level from the canopy they remained upon. They could only watch with bugged eyes as it looks like an actual war zone out there.
“Sooooo. Looks like an aero spell umbrella isn’t working for this one, huh?”
Sora’s lone quip causes them to exchange glances before bursting out into a fit of laughter. Laughter that was quickly interrupted as bright bolt flashes before their eyes, causing an explosion sound to shriek down below. Sheesh. Talk about moody weather!
Within moments they had to make this Heartless free clearing their miniature home away from home. Ensure there was some cover of leaves for the entrance, check. Make sure they had an equally insect free clearing to park their behinds at, check. Ignore all rules of normally making a fire, so they toss their keyblades at a center point and charge up a simple fire spell? Also check! The magical flames thankfully didn’t provide any hazardous smoke to choke on, allowing them a safe space for them to sit down at. Despite being side by side, this wasn’t enough for the spiky haired keybearer.
He wasn’t shy no longer to literally squish himself up by Kairi’s side. Then and only then would a prolonged sigh of ease spell from his lips. “Man. I’ve never seen anything like this before Kai. Like? Y’seen that? I swear the weather actually heard us for a second there.”
”Too bad we’re a little bit quicker on our feet.” That cocky remark instantly got him a gentle elbow to the side. Perking up, that look of disbelief melts into an amused grin as Kairi squints her eyes towards him.
“Sora? I’m not even the one considering it. You are and you actually want to test her nerves? I’m not sure about you mister, but I don’t want to end up lightning induced BBQ.”
Thankfully this must of appeased the spirits above. Despite all of the chaos going on around them, their comfy little cot wasn’t sustaining any otherworldly damage. Only the cool draft seeping in from the woven leaves and the idle droplet of rain water served as their contenders for this territory. At her response, he could only flash her an apologetic smile. “Good point. In that case we’ll just have to let this clear up before we get back on the move again.”
Fatigue would wane and eventually subside as they get into the momentum of fun conversation. From stories of past times, current mishaps and whatever else, it eased the atmosphere into a blissfully comfortable one. ‘For warmth’ reasons inevitably prompting Sora to bring an arm around her shoulders, keeping them nestled close as a content sigh eases from him. The smile was impossible to keep off of his lips during this cozy moment. His chestnut spikes would (and miraculously not hurt) ease against her hair, allowing the two colors to blend as he leans his head onto her’s.
Only to stall, ease over and press a kiss ‘pon her forehead and then resume the previous position.
“If moments were as nice as this all the time? We might need to figure out how to get stuck in these more often..”
