What if I’m afraid to heal?

But what am I afraid of?

That I don’t deserve it? That I will be worse off? That the unknown is scary? That healing involves looking at myself, peeling off all the layers and that hurts more and is absolutely so terrifying that it’s better to limp along as I am? That I will do all of that and break into pieces and never be able to put myself back together again? That others will look at me differently? Or maybe I’ll look back at everything and realise it wasn’t that bad and I suffered for nothing, that I was just weak. Or maybe I just don’t want to look at myself at all.

Niji s2ep2 was fucking fantastic! First of all just the focus on a tighter group of characters here. namely the QU4RTZ girls, helps a lot for the pacing of the episode and building individual girls in a group setting, so that was delightful. And also just that we’re so quickly and clearly establishing narrative goals in a way that’s so quintessentially Love Live. These girls want to unravel whatever’s up with Lanzhu and help her out so she can shine even brighter than before, and that feels great! Feelgood conflict rather than melodramatic conflict so cool. And I mean we get some Lanzhu insight anyway with her buying merch of all the main girls and stuff, it’s all just so good
