iRobot Roomba 966 survey, Let the robots do the cleaning
Each time I see my mother attempting to keep her home clean, I think there ought to be more innovation that can go to our assistance to do every day everyday tasks. In any case, at that point the innovation is as of now there, it is only that we incline toward customary ways and some way or another appear to be persuaded that old is better by and large. iRobot has been offering its automated…

My VERY LATE tale for @geekoutandscream You probably don’t even remember you liked my post, but still here it is.
Inspired by Run River North - Growing Up
The little boy knew he had to obey his parents’ wishes, and he tried to be a good child even in the days when it was a very thing to do. There were times when playing got wild and it was simply too much fun; it would have been a waste to stop. He also had his moments of anger, when everything else faded away and he quickly forgot how much he loved his parents, but remembered again just as fast. Now, it was harder to remember, because he never truly forgot. Now, there wasn’t an overwhelming rage he could blame, only disappointment. He thought for so long that his parents always knew the answer, that they were looking out for him even when he didn’t quite realize, but now it was so hard to believe. This time, he didn’t understand them. This time, he felt betrayed. He thought about what he had done wrong, why they would act the way they did. He found no answers, so he hid under the blankets of his bed and hoped that would all go away.
“I get it, kid.” the boy suddenly heard the voice, and quickly moved his cover to see who was talking. He didn’t dare to come out of his hiding place though, he watched the young man in the room with big, surprised eyes from under his blanket.
“Are you a prince?” he asked the stranger.
“What do you mean a prince?” the skinny man furrowed his eyebrows. “Are you trying to pick at me somehow? Because it’s not working. But you know what? I wouldn’t mind being a prince.”
“Why are you in my room?” the boy asked him, still hiding in bed, but studying the strange prince with curious eyes.
“Don’t know,” the man shrugged. “I suppose I just wanted to tell you that I understand how you feel. In fact, I have the privilege of experiencing it every day of my life.”
That piqued the little boy’s curiosity enough for him to forget about hiding and sit up on the bed. “Really? I’ve never felt like this before. And your parents can’t be that bad…”
“Are you kidding me?” the prince huffed. “Parents are the worst. They know nothing about you and still they think they can order you about. And even if you try telling them stuff, important things, they never listen. Mark my words, they’re gonna turn out just the same. You’ll see!”
“Don’t listen to him!” a new voice came from behind the boy, so he turned around quickly and saw a slightly older man than the prince. “He’s just overreacting as always.”
The boy looked back and was surprised to see that the younger man was gone, like he was never even there. Then he turned back to the other man, “Who are you?”
“That’s the question, isn’t it?” he gave a soft smile. “I honestly thought I’d find out by now.”
“I think you’re like a knight,” the boy told him, his eyes lighting up at the idea.
“That’s… flattering,” the man admitted. “Isn’t knight a little bit too much? I’d be content with some kind of warrior.”
“Still… you must be brave enough to fight monsters,” the little boy said with a smile then his voice turned into a careful whisper. “Like the ones lurking in dark forests. Like the ones under the bed.”
“You’re right,” the knight told him with a more earnest tone. “I fight monsters every single day. But not the kind you’re thinking of. The real monsters aren’t under your bed and they can’t be seen by anyone but you. You can hear them whispering into your ears, and you have to be careful not to listen to their lies. And one day, you’re going to have to be brave and fight your own monsters, just like me.”
“I don’t want to,” the boy pulled the blanket closer around himself. “They sound scary.”
“They are,” a new, older voice spoke from another corner of the room, distracting the boy and leaving time for the knight to slip away unnoticed. “But you can learn to see them for what they really are.”
“So you have defeated them already?” a hint of hope sparkled in the boy’s eyes.
“It’s not that simple,” the man told him with a sad smile. “They never really go away. But I’ve learnt to hear what they have to say, and I have to choose every day which one I will listen to. Often I wish to change my decision, but life isn’t all about me; I have people to take care of and goals to achieve.”
“So, you’re like a king,” the boy suggested. “Do you have your own kingdom?”
“In a way, I do,” the king nodded. “But it’s all intertwined with other kingdoms, they all influence each other and sometimes it’s hard to say where the borders lie. So, you have to be careful not to cross some lines, and still roam the land instead of locking yourself in your castle. You have to be wise to make the best decisions, but you’ll never know if you’ve made the right ones.”
“And one day, you’re going to revisit the past and reflect on every single path you have walked.” the little boy heard a rusty voice from behind him.
“Are you a wizard?” he asked the old man sitting in the shadows.
“I’ve never been a wizard before,” the gray haired man wondered with a hint of a smile. “Yes, I’m an ancient wizard. I’ve lived for hundreds of years.”
“And you can really visit the past?” the little boy moved closer on his bed and waited the answer eagerly.
“Every night when I close my eyes,” the old wizard told him, “I can see the days of my childhood to the last detail. At every waking moment I can see ghosts of the past: dear friends, lovers and enemies. I can see every step I have ever taken, and think of all the choices I have come to regret, but also of all the moments I treasure. There was a time for innocence, a time for selfishness, long years of fighting, and many more of laboring for a home, but now the time has come to give it all away. My gift for you is this: Do not waste your time with resentment and hiding. Use every single moment to love and live. For one day you may wish you had lived more.”
The boy reached up to wipe his eyes, not because he was crying of course, it was just itching a little, but as he looked back the old wizard was already gone without a trace. He was alone once again. He sat on his bed for a while then sighed and crawled out of his mess of blankets. His feeling of disappointment wasn’t completely gone, but now it was steeped in a little sadness and warmth, and he decided he wasn’t in the mood for hiding anymore.

Dinner for Two
A short fic for @dualwieldingtymber starring two Dragon Age characters + Samahl (one of my OCs) and Minaresca (one of @moonlightvelvet‘s OCs). I hope you will like it ^^
“I really hate your right now, you know that?” the mage girl grumbled in her small, angry voice as they made their way through the castle’s dim hallways.
“Oh, come on!” Samahl put a hand on her shoulder, trying to reassure her. “Don’t be so dramatic.”
“Exactly.” Dorian interjected. “That is my role and I don’t need you stealing it, thank you. I could never cope with being the handsome, but not-as-dramatic-as the-Inquisitor mage from Tevinter.”
“Anyway…” the elf attempted to steer the conversation back to its original topic. “It’s just a causal meeting, nothing you should worry about. And the Commander agreed gladly to come.”
“What does that mean, exactly? What did he say?!” Minaresca asked, completely failing to hide her eagerness to know every single detail.
“First of all, he stuttered for about a minute, as he always does.” Dorian began his tale.
“No, there was barely any stuttering, really.” the other man corrected him quickly.
“Then he told us that he was actually planning to ask you himself to stroll around the garden or play a game of chess with him. After that he said that he would be honored to spend an hour in your company.”
“What? A whole hour?” the Inquisitor’s big, blue eyes widened with surprise or rather with fear. “I can’t even keep up a proper conversation with him for five minutes. What am I supposed to do for an hour?”
“Trust me, you can do a lot in less than an hour.” the tevinter remarked casually.
Hearing the comment, the girl stopped and gave a long stare to other mage. “Are we still talking about the same thing?” she asked slowly in a suspicious tone.
“Come on, Mina! We’re almost there!” the elf took her hand and dragged her along. “And believe me, it’s going to be fine. You’ll both have a great time.”
Suddenly Minaresca got pushed through a doorway and found herself in a very dark room. With a single movement, the mages behind her conjured flames, and lit up the room around her.
“Oh, no…” the girl sighed and muttered in a hopeless voice.
The room in front of her was full of candles - there was at least thirty of them - and in the center there was a small table with fancy food, wine, a bouquet of roses with a very confused Commander standing next to it.
“Ah… I think I might be in the wrong place.” Cullen began to explain himself. “I got this… um, message about some urgent Inquisition business and…”
In the next moment the door behind Minaresca was slammed shut, which was followed by the clinking of keys and some noise of fiddling with the lock.
“Oh, sweet Maker…” the Commander gave a troubled sigh as he realized what was going on.
After a brief pause – which felt like ages to Minaresca – she finally found, well… some of the words she wanted to say. “I’m sorry to… drag you out here…”
“No, it’s really not your fault…” Cullen replied with haste. “I mean… I realized who the minds are behind all this. Not that you… I didn’t mean that you wouldn’t…”
“Oh no, I would never keep you from your work like this…” Mina gave a small wave of her hand and smiled awkwardly at the ground. “I’m not say that I would mind, if…”
Then she stopped. This was a nightmare. Anything she could say sounded terrible or implied something she never intended. For a painfully long moment the two of them just stared at each other in complete silence, and Minaresca wished that the ground beneath her feet would open and swallow her forever.
“Oh, just sit down on your arses and eat the duck, before I reanimate it and make it run around the table!” they heard Dorian shouting on the other side of the door.
This woke them from their silent panic and both of them jumped to the table. Cullen quickly pulled out one of the chairs for Minaresca, and the dinner for two slowly commenced with half sentences and awkward little laughs.
