I decided to turn this into a little fic! I haven’t written much for these guys or published anything before, but these questions got the ideas flowing. Some of my head canons were different until I started writing and the boys had other ideas 😅 I was always pretty certain they didn’t do more than just make out that first night, but when I tried to send them their separate ways, they insisted on going home together. I always felt like what we see in 1x02 is not the first time TK was at Carlos’s house, and this little exercise helped me figure out how they got there the first time. It’s mostly from Carlos’s perspective, with a little bit from TK’s at the end.

Got each other off in the honky tonk bathroom

2.When Carlos referred to “the first night I took you home” (during the soulmates scene in 4x16, indicating that was how long he’s known they were soulmates), what did he mean?
After they danced at the honky tonk
When they hooked up at Carlos’s in 1x02 (despite the fact that it isn’t night)
3.How did they end up at Carlos’s for the 1x02 hook up?
They met or ran into each other somewhere else and Carlos drove them to his house
TK took an uber and Carlos was waiting on his front lawn
Carlos picked TK up from work or home and drove them both to his house
4.Who initiated the 1x02 hook up and how?
One sought the other out in person
5.Would TK have stayed for the red snapper dinner if Carlos hadn’t said the words “marriage proposal”?
I think he would have wanted to try to stick it out to get to the good stuff 😏 but probably would have realized at some point that he was just stringing Carlos along because he clearly wanted something more serious than TK could handle
BONUS QUESTION—What was TK’s mood/state of mind between the hook up and the dinner in 1x02? Was he excited he had found a hot guy to hook up with and nothing more? Was he fighting feelings he knew were there already? Was he feeling weird about it but unable to recognize or pinpoint exactly what he was feeling? Or something else entirely?
