Malcolm James McCormick

Malcolm James McCormick, was an artist known by his stage name Mac Miller. Mac began his rap career in 2007, at the age of 15 in Pittsburgh. His early music is described as party music; focusing on partying, money, and women with his later music showing his more interpersonal side. Mac tragically passed from an overdose on September 7, 2018. Mac battled demons, but shared those demons with the world in hopes that it could help someone else.

“I'm waiting for the light to change You ask me how I've been and I'm good, I can't complain” 💙🕊 . . . ——————- Many times i lightened my mood on my way to school while listening to the Best Day Ever mixtape and Blue Slide Park album. “Life couldn’t get better, this gon’ be the best day ever” was my everyday mantra and i couldn’t help but sing it like the song. Even now i am writing this with the melody of that line on my mind. So many times i caught myself relating to his lyrics...So.Many.Times! Got myself hooked on the first listen with every new released album (it was really hard not to). Each time i hear few particular songs of Mac’s , so many warm memories come to my mind. Many times i wished i could have the word-play talent he had. What i did was to re-read each line, understand it and memorize it. Many times i wished to have the ability to express my feelings with words so well like he did, I thought this would ease my unrestful mind a little bit. So many times i wished he was still here.
