Tiger Beat April 1999
in middle school backstreet boys and nsync were my special interest so when someone had this playlist suggestion, i actually took the time to pull up old tracklistings and listen to snips of songs to go my memory and find the campiest and most over-the-top boy band songs
playlist of songs steven smith would sing on american dad:
+ heat it up - 98 degrees
+ have some fun (with the funk) - aaron carter
+ i need love, the riddle, you got it, giddy up - nsync
+ digital getdown, just got paid - nsync
+ celebrity, the game is over, tell me tell me baby, see right through you, just don't tell me that- nsync (separated by era)
+ it's gotta be you, get down (you're the one for me), that's the way i like it, if you want it to be good girl (get yourself a bad boy), hey mr dj (keep playing this song) - backstreet boys
+ backdoor lover - dujour (yes that dujour)
+ calculus - 2Gether
+ when the lights go out - 5ive
+ can i get your number - no authority
tell me you can't picture this animated by seth mcfarlane
btw the cultural appropriation in these songs is OFF THE CHARTS, just as a heads up. the backstreet boys literally worked with michael jackson's choreographer, fatima robinson

hi! i’m most likely going to look at musical things on here, because that’s basically all i like. i listen to maroon 5 (obvi), the backstreet boys, green day, eminem, the new kids on the block, *nsync, linkin park, aaron carter, paramore, the beatles, limp bizkit, 98°, one direction, slipknot, and a bunch of others!
i also really like supernatural!

Robbie Williams is assembling teams for the first ever Boy Band Ryder Cup Death Match (BBRCDM): Europe v USA to establish the hardest boyband and boybander.
"And listen - this isn't about violence
It's about legacy
It's about honour
It's about settling the arguments nobody was having until I started them"
He means business. He's already recruited 90% of '90s boybands to the Euro & USA teams (75% of them without their knowledge or consent, but who's counting?). Sample strengths include:
Howard Donald from Take That : "man-strength + lithe dexterity"
John from E17: "a proper man with a proper job and everything"
John Knight from NKOTB: "farmer strength"
Brian from E17: "scrappy and emotional"
Keith and Shane from Boyzone: "Two meat lighthouses"
Wanya and Michael from Boys II Men: "It's Philly in the '80s. Tell me I'm wrong"
Bryan McFadden of Westlife: "A human doorway"
Things could get ugly. Europe for the win.
What are y'all 'controversial'/unpopular boy band opinions?
I'll start first:
The only boy bands who are ACTUALLY superior to the rest are NSYNC and One Direction. Let me explain. They both had the amazing vocals, the moves (well NSYNC did lmao), the looks, the personality, the charisma, and every single one of their albums/songs are practically perfect. Not to mention there the only two boy bands who had break out stars (Justin Timberlake and Harry Styles obviously) that are bigger than both bands so much that some people don't even know that they were in bands before hand.
Plus Big Time Rush has the potential to be right up there with them (they are to me but I'm talking general public) They had everything 1D and NSYNC had (minus the dance moves but honestly no white boy band can dance like NSYNC lets be so fr lol) and they never ever had a bad song or album. They were also the ones who brought the boy band back in the 2010's since by the time boy bands had died down. (We literally would not have One Direction if Big Time Rush was not formed, sorry not sorry). But since there were with Nickelodeon who didn't market them right or even really take them seriously they're glossed over. Their newer stuff (especially from Another Life, their best album argue with the wall) should be getting them bigger places and they should be way more popular than they are but imo they play it safe (which isn't necessarily bad because they are still extremely successful and adored) they only reason why I think they do that is because they are happy with where they are (as they should be they worked hard to get here) or they're scared that they won't ever make it as big as they want to. They were done dirty, they should be considered one of the most influential boy bands like 1D, NSYNC, and BSB. Also Logan Henderson should've been the Justin/Harry of the group! His solo music is the best of out the boys (no offence they're all amazing and talented obviously) and has all the right stuff to be the breakout star, but it just never happened.
