I had RRR recommended to me and I’ve been putting off watching it tell me why I should

I suppose it depends on why you've been putting it off but if it's just that it's a long ass movie a: i get it im frequently not a long ass movie fan and b: it literally doesn't matter for RRR all three hours feel EARNED and FLY BY real quick like HOO BOY

Why you should watch it as a like. Filme tm is that it's really FUCKING good. It's intense it's absurd it's homoerotic it's grounded in its characters it's SO SO GOOD. I genuinely don't think I've felt just like. this fucking ALIVE watching a movie in a long long time there were several moments I had to stop myself from standing up and straight up SCREAMING i flinched i gasped i laughed i cried I was so tense watching it that I was SWEATING from it FUCK it's good.

Also elevator pitch is it's a movie about fighting against british colonialism with the power of "friendship" and this gun I found

the problem with the Enigma mission is it only REALLY ends if you do something else but I don’t remember if that’s getting all the Pinkney plaques or you have to get Alfred to say something

but I know I read somewhere that Enigma released all the information anyway and Gotham was just like ‘nbd’ (which like... way to deal with your terrible problems guys) and probably in there somewhere was the secret

I don’t remember if that was in the game or some tidbit that went along with the 35mm Knight Models though

BUT apart from all that, I think he was serious.  Because he didn’t even sound mad when Batman collected all the datapacks and destroyed all his stuff.  In all the other games he just blows up over it so I would think the secret was real and the thing that prevented him from blowing up in Arkham Origins

At work my job description is basically “someone doesn’t know how to do a thing? figure it out and help them or find someone who can”

although I feel like sometimes it makes the people we help kinda dependent on us to investigate shit for them and it seems to be a regular occurrence of them putting work on us because they can’t be bothered to investigate themselves

I asked a designer to set up a thing that is easy enough to search how to do in the internal wiki (plus I updated it to have lots of screenshots!) and is vital for the game to ship, but they just like...did the bare minimum and sent me an email “i did [part of the thing] but i’m sending it back to you for the rest because i don’t know how”

I don’t mind doing the work but them saying “i don’t know how” and then dumping it on me really pissed me off

You can ask me to show you so that you can learn because that’s what I’m there for

what kind of designer are you that you stop at “i don’t know how” and don’t care to learn what it is you don’t know how to do

there are reasons why I asked the designer to do it (mostly related to testing, not because I didn’t feel like doing it myself since it’s easy) and just
